Quote Of The Day
July 27, 2005
“What are you talking about? I did so give you dinner last night. The banana split was your dinner… Why, yes I do think that it was a nutritious dinner. Dairy, nuts, banana- a perfect well rounded meal. Keep complaining and tonight you’ll be eating beans out of a can with your fork, because there is no way I am cooking in this heat.”

I hear you on that one. Thankfully my husband does the grilling outside. It is way too hot. I am not leaving my air conditioned house to do a god damn thing especially cook. So he cooks on the grill or we order out and have it delivered.

Take a pound of bacon, a dozen eggs and go out to your driveway (if it is paved that is) and drop them on it. Poof, instant breakfast for dinner!
Also, make a jug of sun tea. It should be done in about 2 minutes flat!
The temperature + humidity is supposed to feel like 120 today.
July 27th, 2005 at 12:01 pmThat’s just crazy.
mmmm…banana split….
July 27th, 2005 at 12:53 pmHow dare they complain???!!! LOL I have made strawberry shortcake with fresh berries several times this summer just for dinner. My 7 yo had the nerve to complain - to him fruit is as offensive as vegetables. Too bad for him, but good for me, I got to eat most of what he left lol
July 27th, 2005 at 1:50 pmYou’d give them a fork for the beans? Isn’t that just making unnecessary washing up?
Annalise, currently wearing jeans, a sweater, a jacket and socks … and wondering what winter here will be like …
July 27th, 2005 at 3:12 pmPerfectly acceptable dinner. Wish I had thought of it. Most likely much more nutritious than the hot dogs & potato chips my kids wanted. No, we had leftover spaghetti. It has cooled down 25 degrees here today. Hope some relief is headed your way!

July 28th, 2005 at 8:30 amYou are so right. Fingers! They’ll be scooping out beans with their fingers!
