My 2 yr old daughter has learned how to climb out of her crib and turn the doorknob on her bedroom door.
I don’t think this horrific turn of events needs any further explanation.

I read your post about ebay. I made $500 in 3 months on there once and I cleaned out some junk in the process. I actually have an ebay pile near my computer now so I put it on there so I can make money for Christmas.

Even worse I was standing in the kitchen making some iced tea, all the other kids were happily playing outside, and behind me I suddenly heard, “Hi Mom”. It scared me and I screamed. But I guess not forcefully enough because it didn’t seem to phase her.
September 15th, 2005 at 9:49 amI was a crib jumper. I broke my arm doing it at about 2. My mom tried to lower the crib so I couldnt climb out in turn I swung over and landed on my arm. Man was she pissed when I learned to get out of my crib. She still complains about it when she hears kids jumping out of their cribs.
I posted something about ebay as well. trying to get ideas on how to get started and what the best way to go about it would be.

when my 4 year old started vaulting out at 18mo, my husband said “oh just put her in a real bed and she will be fine”
Ummm, she decided to stay up till midnight every night for almost a week. This was my child who was a great sleeper before this.
So I remembered that I saw a crib tent in a catalog one time and the hunt was on!

My almost 2 year old decided against the crib from day one.
She is a co-sleeper who has a radar as to when I am no longer beside her.
my mom was doing dishes one day and turned around to find my brother, who was two at the time, on top of the fridge.
my own progeny didn’t copy the pattern, but my eldest did manage to scale the chain link fence on the playground at two…
September 15th, 2005 at 7:59 pmI hate that. At 10 months Fletch figured out how to excape the crib and climb the child gates. I’m surprised he has lived this long. Mel learned about 18 months and has figured out doorknobs too. She has also worked out that standing on a chair means you can reach the hook and eye locks. Duct tape may be the answer. I knew I could come to you for parenting advice
