Some Things Are Better Left To The Professionals

September 16, 2005

Things like brain surgery, asbestos removal, criminal legal defense… and eyebrow waxing.

Just so you know.

Preparing myself to say, “No, I’m not surprised. Why do you ask?” all day long.

PUH-LEASE send me a pic! I finally stopped plucking in 1999, but the damage had already been done - I have permanently foreshortened eyebrows…

  2. Nan says:

YES! PICTURE! We need to see this so we can help you judge the severity of the damage! ;-) Or not… (perhaps I shouldn’t read blogs first thing in the morning, it clouds my mind and lets me think I am clever)

  3. Anne says:

Please stop! I’ve been reading archives too long and my face hurts, my tummy hurts, and baby is having a hard time nursing to sleep.

No, no photo or I’ll be brought hysterics!

  4. dazeymae says:

I gave up waxing the drunken evening that my girlfriend and I decided to wax her underarms. The curse words that came out of that pretty little mouth….omg!
I can still get myself laughing to tears telling the story of that evening.
Give us a picture….c’mon, we’ll show you ours.

  5. Kristin says:

Hee hee. I’m always afraid to do beauty treatments on the face because it’s so hard to hide if you screw up!

  6. Cindy says:

    :::wincing:::

Eyebrows can take over a month to grow back in. Not that I’d have reason to know, of course…
    :o

  7. Lisa says:

I have been hoping the Leonid Brezhnev look will come in, because I am NOT jerking out hair, OUCH!

  8. Buffi says:

    Whoops!

  9. Jordana says:

    Ouch.

    LOL!!!!!

  11. Sleeping Mommy says:

I got carried away with tweezing one time and my middle stepbrother just had to make some comments about it.

I often mess up the waxing too. I try to have it done when I go to the salon but I don’t get in there often enough to keep up with it. So yeah, totally know the feeling.
