The Purple primer. Is it any wonder I was singing “I love you, you love me, this color makes me crrr-A-zy…”
The final color, though I am going to put one more coat I don’t anticipate it changing the color dramatically.
And just in case you can’t remember what it looked like a few weeks ago:
Really, isn’t anything an improvement?

I like it! It’s got a nice rustic New England feel. My entranceway inside the front door is that color. It took me a little while to get used to it too.

I like it too. Of course, I have a thing for red walls, so maybe it’s just me.
December 8th, 2005 at 12:54 pmYour walls look beautiful, especially with the white trim. I like the warm, rich colors, makes it feel homey.
December 8th, 2005 at 12:59 pmI think they look good and not all all like bloody walls…
December 8th, 2005 at 1:05 pmI think it looks beautiful!

December 8th, 2005 at 2:25 pmLooks awesome! Nothing like blood!
December 8th, 2005 at 2:34 pmme personally would rather have the purple color! I love it!
December 8th, 2005 at 3:43 pmThat’s my color! Not blood red at all. Great choice.
December 8th, 2005 at 3:47 pmI love your color! Of course, my livingroom is the same color, so I’m biased, lol!
My husband questioned my judgement when I chose the color, but now he loves it. Plus, anything that you hang on the wall looks like art in a museum. The red does wonders for any photos or paintings that you have!
December 8th, 2005 at 4:02 pmIt looks great! I really like it.
December 8th, 2005 at 4:36 pmAbsolutely gorgeous! Not bloody at all. I wish I was as motivated as you are. My paint chip choice has been taped to my wall for 3 months now.
December 8th, 2005 at 5:29 pmI LOVE IT!!! Such a beautiful job, Chris! Did you not have any whitish streaks showing through? After 3 coats I still have a little bit of lighter red showing through and this was after the red primer. Grrr. Mainly in the corners. Thoughts?
It looks fantastic though. And with your red toile wallpaper in the hallway, it must be stunning.
I don’t know if you are looking for a rug too, but I found this gorgeous rug at pottery barn that is plain tan in the middle but has a cuff at the edges that is that same cranberry color. It is simple, but very nice! Hurray!
December 8th, 2005 at 7:05 pmI love red. In all of our houses, I have painted different variations of the color. I really like the shade you have right now.
December 9th, 2005 at 12:29 amI’m in awe of your industry
And the colour looks v. nice, too; lovely and warm.
December 9th, 2005 at 6:36 amI agree with everyone else, it really looks great! What a change from the before picture. And not bloody, not at all….
December 9th, 2005 at 11:41 amWow- what a difference a little paint makes. Looks beautiful.
December 9th, 2005 at 5:57 pmIt looks great and nothing like blood, but that could be the lighting
December 9th, 2005 at 6:20 pmHmm..I actually kinda liked the purple.
December 10th, 2005 at 12:20 amI had a color a lot like this in my kitchen in my old house and every day it made me happy… it’s beautiful.
December 10th, 2005 at 6:41 pmIt’s so rich! I love it. What a change. They should give you your own home improvements show. I am impressed.
December 10th, 2005 at 11:24 pmOh my goodness!! That’s a gorgeous color. So warm and earthy.
