Quote Of The Day
January 18, 2006
“I can’t wait to see the look on your face when I win.”
said by my 5 year old as we sat down to play Candyland.
Three games, discrete card placement, and forgetting to move my gingerbread man, he finally saw the look on my face. It was relief.

This post made me smile.
January 19th, 2006 at 8:44 amWe’ve all been there and done that, but it still warms the heart to picture it.
I hate board games. Hate, hate, hate them.
January 19th, 2006 at 8:56 amCandyland is the never-ending game. I always got so sick of my girls fighting over Princess Frostine.
Sounds like a competitive little guy.
January 19th, 2006 at 9:56 amOh, you are truly a girl after my own heart. It has always been my personal belief that the person who invented Candyland should be shot. If he/she is already dead, then he/she needs to be dug up, shot, and buried again.
January 19th, 2006 at 10:50 amI’m with Jenni! The sooner the kids learn to play “trouble” or “sorry” the better!
January 19th, 2006 at 11:37 amI am with you on this one. I do ot like board games in general, but Candyland is by far the worst. I try to end it after two games. I cant wait untill my youngest is old enough to play it with her sister.
January 19th, 2006 at 12:42 pmLOL, I can not even count the amount of games i’ve thrown just so we could be DONE…lol
January 19th, 2006 at 1:15 pmThree games of Candyland! You truly deserve the Good Mommy award. Candyland gets my vote for the all-time most painfully boring board game.
January 19th, 2006 at 1:17 pmCordially,
Melora
ROFL!! Been there, done that.
January 19th, 2006 at 3:52 pmI always stacked the deck…there is no worse fate than Grandma Nutt when the game is almost over.
