A Riddle For You
March 17, 2006
What is stronger than the will of a two year old?
More powerful than the jaws of a one year old near a medicine dropper?
Able to wipe out your bank account in a single day?
Cry over your empty wallet!
It’s not a cough! It’s not the flu!
It’s STREP THROAT!

Fortunately for us, Strep has yet to hit our crew. We did have a violent round of stomach flu in our house this past week-children AND adults. It pretty much put depleted our funds as well.
March 17th, 2006 at 4:00 pmUgg we just got back from the doc for the same thing.
March 17th, 2006 at 5:20 pmOh, poor babies. I hate getting strep at 35 let alone seeing kids.
Hope they feel better soon
March 17th, 2006 at 6:46 pmI’m sorry. That really stinks.
March 17th, 2006 at 7:45 pmKleenex with Aloe Vera and Aspro Clear to sip …. I too have this nasty ailment as we speak. I hope it does not spread through the family.
March 17th, 2006 at 8:09 pmWe went to the pediatrician today to see if what my son has is strep throat. Nope, it’s just the latest bug going around. Still have to pay $90 for the strep test and antibiotics won’t help…. Not fun.
March 17th, 2006 at 8:34 pmI feel for you - we have spent $165 in doctor and drug copays this week - and this is for two kids, not seven. This is why we shell out a grand a month for health insurance…
March 17th, 2006 at 8:39 pmWe are currently on Round #2. The first batch of medication didn’t do the trick, therefore, we have upped the artillery. And the cost. I am losing this battle I do believe…
March 17th, 2006 at 8:57 pmHA! We’ve had it FOUR times - various assortments of kiddos, and I had it twice.
I’m SO sorry for you!
March 17th, 2006 at 9:31 pmPOOR BABIES!!! we have been sick all week too and it sucks. really really sucks. i hope they feel better soon.

March 18th, 2006 at 2:43 pmSecond only to mono in its unrelenting quest for every single penny you own — not to mention the exhaustion and putrefying tonsils.
March 18th, 2006 at 7:39 pmHope you all feel better very soon. Strep is miserable.
One advantage of living here (she said, as she sat in her overpriced house looking out of the window at the sleet) is the free health care …
March 19th, 2006 at 2:51 amYikes!
Have a cookie. Cookies make everything better.
March 20th, 2006 at 7:47 amMan, I get how serious this is, but you MADE ME LAUGH so hard. Just with those few words!
