November 15th, 2006 at 5:27 pmI agree too!!
November 15th, 2006 at 5:40 pmAwwwww….I’m sure he was just being a jerk. But a picture would help. lol.
November 15th, 2006 at 5:44 pmWhat does a 7 year old know anyway??????
November 15th, 2006 at 6:05 pmWe would like a pic!!!
yes, picture please. I am sure you look like a hot mama.
November 15th, 2006 at 6:11 pmThis reminds me of when I got some cool new bi-color highlights and my yougest daughter said that I looked like a real cool tiger when she saw me.
November 15th, 2006 at 6:19 pmOut of the mouths of babes! God bless ‘em. I sure you look adorable!
November 15th, 2006 at 6:33 pmOut of the mouths of babes! God bless ‘em. I’m sure you look adorable!
November 15th, 2006 at 6:34 pmYou mean it starts that early? 7 years old and already there commenting on your style.
November 15th, 2006 at 6:50 pmi think to the kids if you aren’t in grungy jeans with stains from an assortment of bodily fluids, messed up hair and that half crazed look in your eyes, you just don’t look like that mom they know and love.
November 15th, 2006 at 7:15 pmYES! Photo!
November 15th, 2006 at 7:49 pmGotta love kids!
When my oldest was about 3, I got an AWFUL haircut. Chopped boy short and all poofy on top. My lovely daughter saw me and laughed, “Haha! Mommy has silly hair!” She said this over, and over, and over. Like I wasn’t already near tears!
November 15th, 2006 at 8:38 pmHAHHAHA!
November 15th, 2006 at 9:57 pmi found a pic of us from blogher and i LMFAO at the title (notes from the trenches.. aka misses her flight). HA!
I told you not to get the mullet. But you just didn’t listen . . .
November 15th, 2006 at 10:22 pmum where is the pic? you knew you couldnt just post this…right?
November 15th, 2006 at 10:45 pmHow about this one?? My six year old daughter as I emerged freshly changed into a swimsuit… Mama, how come you’re all fudgy? Referring of course to the, only adorable on small babies, cellulite.
November 15th, 2006 at 10:52 pmCute, huh? Gotta love those kids!
I still remember saying something like that to my mom after she’d spent a lot of $ and time at the hairdressers. I think to kids anything new and different is ‘weird.’
November 15th, 2006 at 10:57 pmI agree with everyone here.
A PHOTO!!
And I’m curious about what your kids would think about your photo in the “Becoming a Mother” post :).
To me, you were truly beautiful in that picture. So young and.. um.. sexy.. ;). I don’t see that you were scared. You looked so happy with the baby in your arms.
You still look gorgeous, Chris. I saw a photo of yours months ago :).
November 15th, 2006 at 11:49 pmMoney well spent, huh? I’m sure weird was just his way of saying different.
November 16th, 2006 at 12:13 amMy 19 year old says the same types of comments to me every time
November 16th, 2006 at 12:42 amI try a new haircut or new glasses. Why??? Because I don’t look
like “Mom” to him. The poor kid is going to have to let me
grow old some day. LOL To him I guess I should always
look the same.
I cut my own hair the other day, and my oldest dropped his jaw, and then said nothing more - dh said it looks great. WHO KNOWS! I don’t care, I like it and heck it’ll grow back (i hope). I am sure your cut is fab, and yes - a picture with some new *weird* shoes would be great!
November 16th, 2006 at 1:29 amI had my hair done today also. My 8 year old son said “What’s wrong with your hair, mom, it looks different. He does not like change.
November 16th, 2006 at 5:09 amI had highlights done once that I wasn’t pleased with. It didn’t help when my 3yo said that I looked like Cruella DeVille. She actually meant it as a compliment
It got re-coloured pretty quick!
November 16th, 2006 at 5:49 amHAHAHA!!! That’s fantastic! I mean, in a horrible way.
November 16th, 2006 at 11:20 amOK, from a 7 y.o., that is a compliment.
November 16th, 2006 at 12:09 pmThat’s pretty funny!
Was that a ‘good’ weird or ‘bad’ one.
November 16th, 2006 at 8:45 pmWhen I cut 13 inches off, my 4 yo son cried for almost an hour and wouldn’t come near me.
