surely you joke

surely you joke

Forlorn

Miles really thought I was kidding today when I put him down for his nap. But I was not kidding.

He laughed and jumped and rolled around in his crib.

And then did his new favorite thing, pull the sheets off the mattress. He knows when he screams, “My sheet, mama!” I will come back in and fix it. Because I can’t stand the thought of him laying his little baby face on the plastic covered mattress.

Still moving

Except for today.

After he did it for the third time this afternoon I yelled through the closed bedroom door, “Put your head on your blanket!”

    What a stinker . . . a very cute stinker :-)

  2. Heather says:

My 2 sons do this all the time and finally i give up and wait for them to fall asleep and roll them where i need them to get the sheet on.

  3. Manic Mom says:

Seven children! And I thought I was crazy! They’re beautiful though! Have to read more to find out the ages.

  4. Janssen says:

Ha! Child manipulation cracks me up, particularly when it doesn’t work.

  5. Lena says:

Ha! I don’t know how you even keep him in a crib at that age. Mine could climb right out of theirs by 18 months old. So much for MY sanity.

Love your easter pics too. Adorable1

  6. Christy says:

Oh dear. I had not thought of that. I don’t want my daughter to figure that little trick out!!!!!!

How can you be upset at an adorable little face like that?

  7. Jan says:

Quite a day at your house! My son has yet to put on a shirt today- just cruising around in shorts! It’s that Easter hangover!

  8. Mary O says:

What a cutie! I wouldn’t want that cutie dimpled cheek to lay on the plastic either. =)

  9. peepnroosmom says:

Oh how quickly they learn to manipulate mom.
    He has the best dimples.
    Did he ever sleep?

  10. Melissa says:

My Liam, of the 26 month generation, will holler “Moooooomy-ooowie” in an attempt to recreate his anguish and my immediate response to the time he caught his entire leg and became stuck in between the crib slats during his nap…..3 months ago!!

Naps are so yesterday, you know.

  11. Susan says:

Stop abusing him or I will fly out there and take him away.

Right after we drink a few margaritas, of course.
