sometimes I do get to be the fun parent.
Of course it helps when Rob is 2500 miles away and unable to usurp my position as the fun one.

But that’s the grandma role. My husband has the fondest memories of tricking his grandparents into thinking that ice cream always goes on breakfast cereal.
Ahhh well.. I am just a mean mommy.
August 6th, 2007 at 6:58 pmI was nice mommy yesterday, I served the kids banana splits for snack. Although I suppose that only balances out the fact that I was mean mommy and made them leave the pool early. (I am so over the pool.)

August 6th, 2007 at 7:04 pmI’m usually the “bad parent” or as my son seems to think “the punishment enforcer” I guess it’s because I know my son will still love me even when I make him tidy his toys or wash his hair. My husband on the other hand leaves the good hygiene, good manners & tidyness lessons up to me which makes me the boring or grumpy parent.
