Notes from the Trenches
fighting the war on tantrums since 1994
Oh, Chris, this is a wonderful photo. It sums up summer. –Barb
August 26th, 2007 at 10:16 pmShe looks like a superhero. “Get a load of this boys.”
August 26th, 2007 at 10:28 pmI would venture a guess that she picked out her own clothing - beautiful! I need a camera that can capture this kind of motion, or at least a quicker trigger finger.
August 26th, 2007 at 10:29 pmYou have a budding high-jumper on your hands.I never was quite coordinated enough to do the whole “skip/run then jump over a pole onto a huge mat” thing. I stuck to with the long jump. Beautiful picture!
August 26th, 2007 at 10:33 pm‘…might as well…’
oh, and cool shoes!
August 26th, 2007 at 10:54 pmThat is the best action shot. I love the position of her arms and her hair blowing in the wind. Brought a smile to my face.
August 26th, 2007 at 11:25 pmGreat picture
August 26th, 2007 at 11:59 pmNice shot. Always on the go!
August 27th, 2007 at 1:02 amHow many jumps did she make before you got this great shot?
I’ve tried action shots…but my camera is too slow to catch my toddler…I get a lot of blurred arms and backs of heads. This one is great, though!
August 27th, 2007 at 1:04 amLooking at her posture and her rams I’d go so far as to say she’d make a great Hurdler.
August 27th, 2007 at 1:30 amGreat picture
Carolynn
That was supposed to read “her arms” but dislexia took a hold.

August 27th, 2007 at 1:31 amAnd I thought “her rams” was some obscure track & field term, Carolynn!
I envy the jumping energy, when mine wants me to join her in jumping, I feel like I weigh twice as much as I already do, and I bow out as quickly as possible (puffing and wheezing).
August 27th, 2007 at 6:31 amHow fun is that? Makes me feel as though I should get off the couch and actually *do* something myself.
Ditto everyone else on the action shots. My son bought a po-go stick last week and it took, no lie, almost 200 pictures before I got any that weren’t blurry. Was it expecting too much to ask him to “pause” in mid-air????
This one of her jumping is wonderful.
August 27th, 2007 at 6:41 amexcellent hurdler pose!
August 27th, 2007 at 9:02 amI love this picture!
August 27th, 2007 at 11:12 amda da da da da daaaa! Charge!
No, really, did you just tell her you were about to take her shopping?
August 27th, 2007 at 12:17 pmI love the jump — and the shoes! I think my 20-yr-old has the same pair.
August 27th, 2007 at 12:30 pmI love the action shot! So awesome!
August 27th, 2007 at 2:48 pmOh to be four again! When it really doesn’t matter if your clothes match because you’re young and lean and strong!
August 27th, 2007 at 5:43 pmNow that is one excellent capture! Great job, Chris!
August 28th, 2007 at 9:29 amWhen did her legs grow that long? She was a toddler a few minutes ago!
