Doses of Fall
October 22, 2007
I drive by this lake (pond?) almost every day.
Here are the work horses at a nearby horse farm. My son takes horse back riding lessons here.
Then I drive back by the pond (lake?)
It was close to 90 degrees today. Enjoying the foliage is so much nicer when you don’t have to be cold also.

What beautiful leaves you have up there. Ours are just beginning to get a yellow tinge. Fall is my favorite season.
October 22nd, 2007 at 7:46 pmGorgeous shots! What a great place to live!
October 22nd, 2007 at 8:27 pmThat’s it - I’m moving!!!! We don’t get pretty fall colors down here in S. LA! :o(
October 22nd, 2007 at 8:42 pmPretty!
It’s been so dry in MD that I’m afraid the leaves are just going to fall without changing colors.
October 22nd, 2007 at 9:03 pmBeautiful leaves! Ours are just starting to change, but the heat is just too much for me. Maybe it’s because I live where Winter is mild, but I can’t enjoy the Fall colors as much without jeans, a sweater, and a cup of hot cider. It’s time for endless Summer to end.
Thanks for the reminder to enjoy it anyway.
October 22nd, 2007 at 9:08 pmNope, not with you on that one. Can’t enjoy those fall colors without a brisk fall breeze moving through the air. It’s been abnormally warm here also, and it just weirds me out to smell that fall leaf smell and feel hot at the same time.
October 22nd, 2007 at 9:48 pmBeautiful fall pictures!!
October 22nd, 2007 at 10:09 pmYour pictures are absolutely beautiful. I have a Nikon N65 (35MM) and have been looking at a digital. Somewhere I wrote down the info. on your new camera. I’m sold. I don’t think I have to do anymore research. Thank Otto for me.
October 22nd, 2007 at 10:52 pmman, chicago sucks by comparison. all we have is brown and greenish brown.
October 22nd, 2007 at 11:35 pmSo, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so beautiful.
Thank you.
October 23rd, 2007 at 2:30 amI mean, thanks for the picture.
I don’t think you made the trees or anything.
October 23rd, 2007 at 2:31 amGorgeous! The blue sky, the vivid fall colors! I need to remember my camera when I drive!
October 23rd, 2007 at 3:02 amWow, beautiful! It makes me miss our days of living in Connecticut! The trees don’t put on quite the show here.
October 23rd, 2007 at 8:10 amYou would get depressed if I send you a picture of my neighborhood…at least I am getting depressed comparing it to yours. Enjoy it!
October 23rd, 2007 at 8:42 amYeah, I bet! Our foliage was ruined by snow, the leaves that were starting to turn arre now either all on the ground or floppy and frozen.
October 23rd, 2007 at 9:50 amBeing that I live by Lake Michigan, I say that is a pond!! Great pics, thanks for sharing. I’ll have to tell my sis about this site, she is huge horse fan.
October 23rd, 2007 at 10:03 amOh man, you are killing me. That is so gorgeous !!!! My oh my, I wish I could see the seasons change down here in Georgia.
Continue to take the time to enjoy, that is what life is all about !!!!!
October 23rd, 2007 at 10:11 amOh, I could almost hate you. It’s a good thing you’re so nice, otherwise I’d have to!
*GREEN WITH ENVY*
October 23rd, 2007 at 11:12 amBreathtakingly beautiful. I hope, like you said, taking these shots gives you the refreshed perspective you wanted again. I hate when I get so close to something I can no longer see it for what it is then looking back I realize what, in my myopia, I may have missed.
Enjoy your spectacular vistas!
October 23rd, 2007 at 11:33 amI’m so jealous! I like living in the south, but one year we lived kind up North (not as far as you) and it was a gorgeous fall. I need a fall house somewhere up there. Somewhere I can go, just for the fall to watch the pretty colors. Then get my rear end home before the snow comes!
October 23rd, 2007 at 11:54 amIn Arizona….everything is brown / beige…… (you lucky bastard)
October 23rd, 2007 at 12:03 pmThis is Arizona girl is jealous of these jealous of your beautiful scenery.
October 23rd, 2007 at 1:13 pmThough we don’t have to shovel the heat, which is nice.
Wow, you get to look at that every day? How gorgeous.

October 23rd, 2007 at 4:39 pmSo beautiful!
October 23rd, 2007 at 7:26 pmLucky you! Here in southern california it is dark and depressing , hot and dry oh and yeah every things on fire. AAHHHH breathe in the smoke and ashes then run to take your inhaler before you die from an asthma attack.
(sorry I need to vent, nothing personal LOL!)
October 23rd, 2007 at 11:59 pmThanks for the dose of Fall - This is our first fall in Guam and I’m missing the cool temps and the change of leaves…but still love the fact I can go to the beach and swim, though!
October 24th, 2007 at 12:02 amWhere on earth do you live, town or city specific enough, that this is the pond you pass everday?
