Mass Exodus
November 7, 2007
the likes of which has not been seen since Moses parted the Red Sea.
Miles says, “Let my people go!”
And this is what happens when I tell them they are free to leave.
It’s not a photo shoot unless you trample your siblings in the mass exodus to get out of the room before your mother changes her mind and makes you sit and smile some more.

Love seeing your xmas pictures, they are soemthing else!
November 7th, 2007 at 8:55 pmP.S. I voted 2day
They really are beautiful kids Chris. My visual favorite right now is your 8-year-old, long blonde wildness against his perfectly-trimmed brothers. They look like they’re having fun!
November 7th, 2007 at 9:17 pmI know you’ve heard this a million times, but you really do have uncommonly attractive children. Not as attractive as mine, but pretty great, just the same.
November 7th, 2007 at 9:18 pmAll of those dimples in one room together should be declared illegal!
November 7th, 2007 at 9:23 pmI like the first one in the ‘free to leave’ series. The one in glasses is still, paused, focused on you. The mass around him is crazy, but it’s like he’s still connected to you.
I usually hate art interpretation.
November 7th, 2007 at 9:28 pmSo funny! The watermark (is that what it is called?) I think - sadly, should be further up on the photos, as it would be easy to crop out your *NFTT ~title* - and still steal. Sad to have to think about - but…
November 7th, 2007 at 9:31 pmI love that you share your photo shoot pictures. Your kids are adorable. And they obviously have a lot of personality!
Out of curiosity, what do you use for your black backdrop?
November 7th, 2007 at 9:32 pmOh my, that last picture had me laughing out loud. I love it.
November 7th, 2007 at 10:18 pmI second Niki…those craters in the cheeks…you could just SINK into them!
November 7th, 2007 at 10:52 pmI don’t have children, but I know that I when I look in the mirror, I see my mother.
I don’t know that we actually look alike to the outsider, but I know that she’s in there.
When I look at your little boy with the blonde shaggy hair, I see you. There is no question.
SO, the question is, do you look at them and see yourself in all of them, regardless of what they look like?
November 7th, 2007 at 10:55 pmYou are hilarious! That’s too funny that you caught that all on camera. Those smiles…..those dimples. Too much!
November 7th, 2007 at 11:19 pmThank-you! It’s fun to see your photos and this sequence is great! You’ve got a wonderful gaggle of happy kids there!
November 7th, 2007 at 11:40 pmYour children are so beautiful. I love when you share your Christmas photos. You are an awesome photographer.
November 7th, 2007 at 11:54 pmWell, I really hope none of your kids were hurt during the mass exodus and fall-out, because then I would have to feel guilty for laughing at your photos like I did but seriously, that was funny.
Our family photo session is planned for this Saturday morning. I’m frightened. Very, very frightened.
November 8th, 2007 at 12:06 amDid you have to remind us it was picture taking time again? Ugh.
Cute pic though.
November 8th, 2007 at 1:34 amI love that you kept snapping. Those “bad” ones are always the best.
November 8th, 2007 at 1:40 amHaha.. totally love it!!
November 8th, 2007 at 3:00 amI also love that you just keep right on snapping as they’re falling all over the place, too funny!
November 8th, 2007 at 6:55 amIt’s not a group of boys till they fall all over each other, is it?
November 8th, 2007 at 7:43 amGreat pictures. I have to do mine this weekend.
Your eight year old has the best dimples. Your kids are a good looking bunch.
What a good looking group! I love how your darling daughter is there in her black dress, amidst all those boys. The picture of them making funny faces is priceless! I know you got some good ones also, right?
November 8th, 2007 at 9:01 amI’d love to hear the audio on these pictures.
November 8th, 2007 at 9:22 amI love this picture story! I thought it was just my family that couldn’t sit still for a picture! Great pictures, though. All of them. I love the one where your son falls off the stool.
November 8th, 2007 at 9:37 amYou take such great pictures. I’m gonna have to give in one day and quit buying economy priced cameras that seem to only last 6 months. All your kids have such cute dimples.
November 8th, 2007 at 9:49 amKatie,
November 8th, 2007 at 10:16 amTrust me you really do NOT want audio.
They are adorable. Is Miles turning into another blonde?
November 8th, 2007 at 11:10 amYup, when it time to go, then they all smile.
Very cute.
November 8th, 2007 at 11:11 amOk will you do a FAQ thing again? Where do you get your backdrops? How do you hang ‘em? I need to do a family pic and there is just no way I’m going to be able to herd my crew into a poor innocent photography studio! Plus already I can say thank God for Photoshop because rearranging heads is what its all about to me! haha
November 8th, 2007 at 11:31 amha ha that was perfect
November 8th, 2007 at 11:32 amadorable pics, adorable kids. you know chris, if you could bottle up some of the hair color your children naturally have, you’d be a millionaire. imagine, your own brand of hair color with the exact colors your children have. brilliant!
November 8th, 2007 at 11:40 amdid i mention your adorable kids already?
LOVE it!
November 8th, 2007 at 12:13 pmHow funny -

November 8th, 2007 at 2:10 pmCan you come take pictures of my kids? Because I only have three and they won’t sit still or smile for me all at the same time. I think I need to have someone else to take the pictures, and yours are always so lovely.
November 8th, 2007 at 5:37 pmThey are so cute!!! And your photos make me want to scream, they are awesome!
November 8th, 2007 at 6:42 pmYour children are so beautiful, Chris. You’re so lucky! (As are they.)
November 9th, 2007 at 4:41 pmwhy do I love your children so much?
