Happiness is…
November 23, 2007
Making your own birthday cake with a giant number 7 candle on the top.
Meeting your brand new cousin.
Being regarded as big enough to hold this 14 day old cousin all by yourself.
When you are seven, this is as good as it gets.

November 23rd, 2007 at 12:53 ammy son celebrated #5 today! he had a pumpkin pie with candles!
Happy Birthday! Seven is the start of not being a little kid anymore…so my nephew told me anyway.
Where do you get Miles t-shirts? I love that one, and Heavy Pedal, and I still live with my parents.
November 23rd, 2007 at 1:58 amOH, this is a lovely post : )
November 23rd, 2007 at 2:07 amHappy Birthday, big guy! Nice job on that birthday cake!
November 23rd, 2007 at 2:25 amHappy Birthday. He looks so much like YOU.
November 23rd, 2007 at 3:52 amWhat a beautiful boy, and the baby is very very cute too.
November 23rd, 2007 at 5:11 amThis son of yours is exactly 6 months younger than my oldest boy. Seven is, indeed, a magical age - or should I say, a reality age! Although mine’s starting to be all into Harry Potter and Narnia and suchlike, his realistic reasoning, and his reasoning at all ;), are so much different from just a year ago… But I’m sure you’ve experienced all this before!!!
November 23rd, 2007 at 10:12 amHappy Birthday, 7 year old son!
Marta from Lisbon
What sweet pictures! Your 7 year old looks like he might be the sensitive, introspective one of the bunch? I love how he’s looking at the baby in the carrier. (and little Miles looks like “Now who is this??”) Thanks for sharing with all of us, and wish your 7 yr. old a very Happy Birthday!
November 23rd, 2007 at 10:39 amI love 7-year-old boys. I’m going to cry when mine turns 8. He’s charming and pleasant and generally nice to his little sisters right now. If I were 6, I’d marry him.
November 23rd, 2007 at 10:48 amAfter reading this, it came as a shock to me that 7 is the age my son will be in just over a month. Your son looks so OLD! And so does mine. How does this happen?
November 23rd, 2007 at 10:55 amHappy 7th bday!
Oh, that baby! (sigh) My ovaries hurt from just looking at that picture.
November 23rd, 2007 at 11:50 amhow exciting another sweet baby! He is beautiful and so is your seven year old. he looks so happy and proud to be holding his new cousin!
November 23rd, 2007 at 12:27 pmDid your boy turn 7 on Friday? Happy Birthday!

2000 was a good year!
November 23rd, 2007 at 4:56 pmDid you have a TURKEY baby?
I have a younger brother who was born on Thanksgiving, and it was one special day!
Happiest Seventh Year, to your beautiful son!
November 23rd, 2007 at 5:56 pmSo sweet! I have a near-Thanksgiving birthday (Friday following the big Turkey day), too. It’s kind of fun to have a day off from school on many birthdays. Tell your son he’s in good company.
November 23rd, 2007 at 11:51 pmSweet, sweet seven..a great age for little boys. Congratulations on that beautiful birthday cake, the proper amount of sprinkles were used, I see.
November 24th, 2007 at 6:09 amChris, where do you find those great tees, especially love that it is black as all “witty” children’s tees usually come in white:( I have 4 out of 6 grandboyz that could proudly wear that shirt.
this is so cute. happy 7th birthday! p.s. in the picture of the three boys with the baby, Miles looks like a damn little boy. I didn’t even realize that was him until I triple-checked!
wow.
