is there anything worse than when your baby starts saying words properly? Just this week I stopped being Mommy to my baby…..
December 16th, 2007 at 7:08 pmPerfect photo…the expression on his face is priceless!!
December 16th, 2007 at 7:18 pmHe looks very happy to have that cake. A boy who has an opinion and gets what he wants. Hmmmm…I see some trouble ahead.
Happy Birthday
December 16th, 2007 at 7:25 pmThat is a thoroughly delighted smile. And that whip cweam looks delicious.

December 16th, 2007 at 7:57 pmAw, that smile! Although with the number of candles, he could have been celebrating my twin’s 9th birthday with us yesterday.
December 16th, 2007 at 7:57 pmWe had chockit cake this weekend too! Turning 3 is so much fun.
December 16th, 2007 at 8:05 pmLook at that face!!! Too Cute!

Happiest third birthday, dear Miles! Happy birthing day, Mama!
December 16th, 2007 at 8:25 pmSpelling out the way he talks like that is priceless. You will LOVE looking back on that later and remembering. My sister-in-law was laughing yesterday about how my son calles her “Ant Wizz” instead of Aunt Liz.
December 16th, 2007 at 8:28 pmSave me a piece! He looks so angelic and like a little man.
December 16th, 2007 at 8:41 pmI’m dying right now from the cuteness. Dying I say.

December 16th, 2007 at 9:25 pmWooooooooooooooooW
December 16th, 2007 at 9:32 pmJust another GREAT picture to remind me! My point and shoot camera died two days ago and can’t be repaired before Christmas (no camera for Christmas? I don’t think so!). I’m so grateful you posted the name of your camera a while back! You saved me HOURS of research and time! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Nikon D40x!!! I’m celebrating it’s 6 hour birthday! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
p.s. I know that motherhood sometimes feels like a thankless job, but a smile like that makes everything melt away. I too hate it when they start talking “properly.” So over-the-top wonderful!
December 16th, 2007 at 10:01 pmDid he have his cake AND eat it, too?? Sorry I couldn’t resist the pun, you mean, hateful, selfish mom who does nothing but blog all day.
(I am joking.)(Though anyone who has been reading Chris’ blog for a while should be able to GET SARCASM.)
December 16th, 2007 at 10:48 pmYour photos make me smile. Happy chocolate cake, Miles.
December 16th, 2007 at 11:25 pmAwww, look at that picture! Beautiful capture, Chris! He is darling..

December 17th, 2007 at 1:01 amI love that shot - sweet, precious, smilin’ face in the background.
I think we would all be happy with as many Miles’ b’day photos as you want to share. His face always makes me smile.

December 17th, 2007 at 3:21 amOh my gosh, that smile, and those dimples are to die for. What a cutey pie.

December 17th, 2007 at 7:53 amHappy Birthday Miles!
December 17th, 2007 at 8:09 amI have enjoyed seeing you grow bigger everyday on your Mommy’s blog. You look like a very big, strong boy like your brothers!
Glad I never read the comments on Miles’ weekday brownie, I get so irked with the trolls even though they’re not MY trolls.
Miles looks SOOOO happy - a fine contrast to your daughter’s 3rd birthday (I still remember the video).
December 17th, 2007 at 8:16 amRock on Miles!!!! Happy Birthday!!!
December 17th, 2007 at 9:04 amI am pretty sure that of the two in that picture, he is the more delicious! THat dimple!
Happy birthday sweetie!
December 17th, 2007 at 9:05 amI love the expression on his face!! he is really a sweetheart.
December 17th, 2007 at 9:56 amDid he get to pick that out himself at the store where the big cakes are? He looks so happy! I’ll bet he said, “Let them eat cake.”
December 17th, 2007 at 10:39 amThe cake looks beautifiul and Miles looks estatic!
Happy Birthday Miles!
December 17th, 2007 at 10:46 amOh, this picture brings tears to my eyes. I just LOVE how little ones are so unafraid to have their emotions written all over their faces — nothing to hide or be embarrassed about…. *sigh*
December 17th, 2007 at 10:52 amHis dimples are precious. I imagine that everyone was singing to him during this pic & he looks like he is SO proud.
December 17th, 2007 at 12:07 pmChris, I love your photography SO much. Your kids are so lucky to have you documenting their childhoods–it looks like something out of a magazine.
If you want to see bad photos, I posted my attempts to get a decent holiday photo on my blog. Ick, and we have almost the same camera!
Happy Birthday, Miles!
December 17th, 2007 at 12:44 pmWe’re having our teeny-butter and fwuff over here and wishing Miles a happy big 0-3!
December 17th, 2007 at 1:21 pmYum!

December 17th, 2007 at 6:51 pmIt should be illegal to be so cute so young.
He is a doll. We just love Miles in this house.

December 17th, 2007 at 10:05 pmI want to see the ‘after’ picture! I’m guessing there was cream and chocolate in places other than his mouth? Well worth it though - after all, you only get one 3rd birthday
December 18th, 2007 at 8:55 amLook at that dimple!!! What a sweetheart- Happy Birthday!
December 18th, 2007 at 11:01 amYeah right. I’m sure you got him a cake. That’s probably a plastic MADE IN CHINA cake, isn’t it? And that kid? Probably not your’s, either. In fact, I bet you don’t have any kids. I bet you don’t even have a vagina. You’re probably a man. An old man named Abe who hates kids and cakes and gives out toothpaste on Halloween.
Nice try, “Chris.”
PS: Was it gluten free?
Chris says: Damn it, you found me out. And no, it wasn’t gluten or egg free.
December 18th, 2007 at 12:04 pmNice job baking that cake!!!
Chris says: Good Lord, I bought the cake. Can’t you tell from its perfection? From the “store” as requested by the tiny tyrant.
