And now a very preoccupied girl.

  2. Melanie says:

Great Gift! The features on those things are wonderful to have… especially when you’re bouncing from T-ball to ballet to football. I don’t know how I ever lived without my calendar, email, phone, internet, etc. all in one place.

Be careful, though. They’re addicting… VERY addicting. I’ve had a Blackberry and am now on my 2nd Treo.

  3. Kristabella says:

I haven’t been able to move to the smart phone. Because I feel like then I’ll be too connected. And addicted. And what little shred of a social life I have will go out the window. Because I’m a big nerd.

  4. Alissa says:

can you blog from that? if the answer is yes, then it seems we’ve all been good…

Chris says: Yes, I can! And email. And IM. And, um, all sorts of other stuff that I don’t really understand yet.

  5. Christy says:

    Ahhh…..Does she have a camera?

  6. Leeann says:

    Totally awesome! Congrats!

  7. Becky says:

I’m totally leaving a beer for Santa next year.

  8. Alison Byrne Fields says:

I also have a Curve (got it with my new job, Chris, which I should tell you about sometime soon) and, I gotta say, the camera on that thing is pretty good as far as camera phones go. I own the same camera that you have as well (Nikon D40x), and I won’t pretend that it’s anywhere as good as that, but it’s helpful for those moments when the Nikon isn’t within arms reach.

  9. jody says:

Cool! The blog feature would do me in on the road. Does it wash and fold laundry?

    Did you get Photoshop too?

  10. Karen Vogel says:

Now to keep the children’s hands off it….

  11. Jennielynn says:

    Musta been the beer.

  12. Carolyn says:

My husband calls them “Crackberrys” because of their…uh…addicting tendancies. Not sure if a test case of one is really a good test group, but I know my niece’s never left her hand all during Christmas Eve (she’s 23).

  13. Rae says:

You got your daughter a BLACKBERRY?

    (I know, I’m totally unfunny) :)

  14. Melanie says:

I just want to say that I love your blog. It makes me laugh out loud and as my husband will tell you— it has to be really funny if he hears me laughing out loud. I sometimes read some of the stuff to him too. (I always feel like it will make him laugh after a hard day at work but really I just think it funny and want to read it to him) Just keep up your great stories. I love them.

Chris says: Awwww shucks, thank you. I am blushing.

  15. Jaime says:

Santa is so getting beer next year!

  16. Fina says:

Chris - yeah, good going. Now when your husband cant get you on the phone, he can email you. Or Instant Message you. You’ll never be out of reach again.

You are totally addicted already and you don’t even know it. Some sites work better than others on the Blackberry…whitepages.com, googlemaps, imdb.com are all great and prevent me from ever getting lost, not finding a number, or spending all evening trying to remember who played the romantic lead in Sixteen Candles. However, my husband has placed a 2 times during dinner out limit on Blackberry use (unless it’s a work emergency) and he would kill me if I pulled it out during a movie. Have fun and try to remember to focus more on the real live world than the digital one.

  19. bombaygirl says:

nice crackberry! try not to get too addicted!

  20. Anne says:

    very nice :)

  21. Tal says:

Oh god help you Chris! They’re cazy addictive - and yet so damn useful that 99.8% of the time you don’t care. Enjoy!!

  22. t in h says:

Um, pardon my ignorance but….what is it?

  23. maggie says:

santa brought me one too! i love it- it’s so neato!

  24. Kini says:

Oooohh!! I am so jealous over here! I have one more year on my contract, and honestly, I’m kind of holding out for an iPhone. :) Or, maybe a blackberry and an iTouch would work?

    Enjoy! :)

  25. peepnroosmom says:

Ohhh! You were a very good girl.
Crackberry! I am laughing so hard, but it’s so true.

  26. Jonathan says:

Do you really want to be that connected up? They scare me, but then I get a 80 -100 emails a day on a work day plus more spam than I can cope with. It will be interesting to hear if you love it or loath it in a few months time! If you love it maybe I will get one!

  27. t in h says:

    Seriously. What IS it??

Chris says: Here is a link: Blackberry

  28. Kate says:

oh my lordie - your thumbs are gonna fall off…… ( now I will await my moderation. ):)

  29. t in h says:

Thanks for the link. It looks like a phone with a mini computer or something. Just looking at it makes me feel a migraine coming on! Have fun with it.

  30. Stefania/CityMama says:

Yay! Welcome to the dark side! Muahahahaha!!

  31. Common Mom says:

    I am SOOOO jealous!
