You know how when you are traveling with a toddler you do whatever it takes to keep them quiet and tantrum free. Turns out that it never really changes, even when your kids are 11 and 12. Except change “quiet and tantrum free” to “keep them from talking non-stop to me and forcing me to play endless cards games.”

Yup, I have 250 more of these photos. Most prominently featuring the wing of the airplane.

Actually, my aviation-obsessed son would love these pictures!

  2. threeundertwo says:

LOL! I thought it was just my kids who never shut up. Wow.

  3. Heather's Garden says:

This reminds me of the dozens of photos I took with my disc camera back when I was 11 or 12. At least you didn’t have to pay to develop the 250!

  4. ali says:

those 250 photos are well worth it, i think ;)

  5. Jaime says:

    Oh so clever. . .

  6. Asianmommy says:

Darn! I thought it was supposed to get easier!

    What ever works!

(And I say that honestly, as we have taken a few of those pictures also.)

I taught/encouraged my kids to learn to read at a very young age for just this reason. Now when we ride public transportation (almost every day and it always seems to take forever) they always bring a book to read and their Nintendo DS, plus my budding artist brings pen and paper for drawing. Otherwise they’d drive me nuts.

  9. brit says:

wait. What? It doesn’t get better? You’re fired!!!! Lie to me! What do I do when I can’t put them in five point restraints and drink?

  10. Tara@From Dawn Till Rusk says:

Was that your anger release after the suitcase packing incident?

  11. Becky says:

On the bright side, you’d be totally set if a Gremlin started wreaking havoc. Photographic evidence to save the day!

  12. The Jesser says:

Oh, so you’re saying you’re to busy to COLLECT cards.

  13. Deborah says:

Sweet Lord, I thought my child was just being her own infuriating self when she insists on talkingtalkingtalkingtalking constantly to the point when I am forced to tell her, at the age of 13, that “Mommy’s ears are tired.” Makes me feel a little better to know she’s “normal,” yet frightened when I think of her younger siblings. Maybe I should take a page from my husband’s book and just wear his NASCAR-approved noise cancellation headphones around the house all day…

  14. Nat says:

really? and i thought it was going to get easier.

  15. Hip Mom's Guide says:

Those are far better photos that I’ve ever gotten out the window of an airplane!

  16. Becky says:

Hahahaha - thank goodness for digital cameras!

Love the pictures! If the camera gets you out of earshot of the kiddos for a few seconds, take as many wing shots as you wish!
