football

This isn’t a great photo, I know that. It is blurry. It is was late at night so the photo is too dark. And yet I love it. Sometimes the technical aspects of a photo come second.

This photo sums up this kid. After over two hours of practice, non-stop running, having his “brains squashed” in his helmet (his words), and now running sprints, he is still smiling. If I could bottle his terminal happiness I would be able to put all the anti-depressant manufacturers out of business and make millions.

    That happiness, those dimples= trouble.

I fear for you and for your town in about five years. He is going to have far too much fun, and get away with it with a flash of that smile.

And he looks much too coordinated to be mistaken for Forrest. But the joy is there.

  20. Mom on the Run says:

Now, do you have all your older boys in football? Or, do you do soccoer? I expect you like the shorter fall seasons.

We have one playing soccer…youngest he is 5…and two playing volleyball. Should be a busy fall.

I love how happy kids are even if they’ve had their brains squashed in their helmets. If you ever do bottle that up I’ll buy a whole package. Great picture even if it is dark and a bit blurry, you’ve captured the moment and it shows.

  31. Stephanie says:

    Chris, he’s just beautiful… :)

  32. OMSH says:

Oh Chris, I love it too! That is JOY right there. It could be entitled “For the love of the game.”

  33. Peg says:

Is it just me or does he look like Miles in a bigger body?
