Another day in Chicago.
Another bathroom photo.
In the photo with me are Susan (I’m sure you have heard me mention her…),Miquelina (who looks like a supermodeland is so nice you like her anyway), and Clare (who isn’t a blogger and just gets dragged into the bathroom with us for the photos.)
Quite a few people have emailed me and asked, “What the hell are you doing?” “Why do you have a fake turkey?” Per my ad netwrok agreement I can’t write about it here, even though I’m not actually getting anything for free but working. Though how funny would it be to be paid in turkeys. Okay, maybe not so funny.
But I’ll have a link later on today where you can read about it.

October 23rd, 2008 at 8:37 amYou’re in Chicago? I am going there for the very first time ever on Tuesday…and cannot wait! I love checking out new cities!
October 23rd, 2008 at 8:40 amI love your red shoes too! And Clare, you need a blog!
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:19 amcan you please post about everyone’s shoes - red, leopard and the cute ones on the supermodel in the back + the tall boots. I think that’s the information I need to get going today!
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:27 amWell, if you were paid in turkeys, your family is the one to handle it!
October 23rd, 2008 at 9:42 amWho cares about turkey, I want to hear about your SHOES! Love them!
October 23rd, 2008 at 10:24 amCan I just say how much I am enjoying seeing all of your fashion? You guys are too dang cute.

October 23rd, 2008 at 12:08 pmChris - if you get paid in turkeys, can you invite us all over for a big dinner? We’ll all help you cook!!!!
October 23rd, 2008 at 12:57 pmLooks like you’re having a blast. Anytime you have photos in a bathroom, a good time is usually being had by all. I’m jealous, though… you’re in my favorite city! If you have a weak spot for popcorn (and even if you don’t) check out Garrett Popcorn. Their famous mix combines the most delicious cheese, plain and caramel popcorn in one bag. Yum! There’s a GP about 1-2 blocks west of the Art Institute, if you’re in the neighborhood. Hopefully there would be no line on a weekday. Enjoy your trip!
October 23rd, 2008 at 1:05 pmGod, you look so cute I might have to hate you just a little. Looks like you’re having a blast, whatever it is you’re doing! (and thankyouverymuch for getting Secret Agent Man stuck in my head…)
October 23rd, 2008 at 1:38 pmWhere did you get your red shoes? SUPER cute!
October 23rd, 2008 at 2:51 pmUnfortunately, my husband actually gets “paid” a turkey at Thanksgiving…I feel ungrateful that my response is always “Ugh…another one for the freezer!”. Give me a fake one any day. Then I wouldn’t have to dress it.
October 23rd, 2008 at 3:09 pmI read Susan’s blog so know what you were doing with the turkey! Just commenting to say I love your shoes! I think we are going to need a whole seperate post with the details about them!
October 23rd, 2008 at 4:11 pmI’m pretty new to your site, but I love your writing. By the way, before I even read what you wrote I thought “they all look so good and hip, they could be models.” Are all of you mom’s? Just asking because I hate those lame-o jokes people tell about frumpy mom’s.
October 23rd, 2008 at 4:55 pmi really am harmless; can you add me to view your flickr photos?! the worst i’ve done (lately) is kill all those annoying sugar ants attacking my kitchen. and i (um, truly) apologize to each one before i squish them. full disclosure: i killed a silverfish this morning. time for a thoroughly cleaning, eh?! (add me? no? maybe?)
October 24th, 2008 at 9:27 pmlerv that purple coat! so glad she foundit!
