Back in Chicago again! I am going to miss Chicago when November ends. Also I am going to miss working with these ladies. And having car service. God, how life changing it would be to have someone drive you around everywhere. Like Susan said, it opens up a whole new world of appropriate traveling shoes when you only have to walk from the curb to the gate.

me: I thought the little card inside saved it all when I transfered it to my new blackberry
but nope
me: yes it sucks so bad i can’t even explain how much it sucks
Susan: i feel the suckitude all the way over here
me: i have no idea what appts i have for the next year
it will be a surprise when i get those reminder phone calls
Susan: LOL

me: I also have no phone numbers
Susan: remember when we all had paper calendars?

me: oh shut up, you do not
Susan: Wade rolls his eyes but if i lose my calendar i am screwed

In the end I had to COPY all the numbers and info out of my old Blackberry and then retype them into the new one. I think I am actually a more efficient thumb typer than a regular typer.
Also, I made these toasted pumpkin seeds. Holy crap they are delicious. I had to stop myself from eating ALL of them by myself. And the recipe is infinitely adaptable using whatever spices you like and have on hand.

November 5th, 2008 at 1:44 pmyou have to set your address book entries to save to the SIMM card instead of onboard memory, but once you do, you’ll be good to go. Same with your calendar.

Your post today is the reason I still use my paper organizer/daytimer/filofax whatever they’re called. I save all the address book stuff in Word and print it out on labels. When someone’s info changes, new label and I’m done! I’d still hate to lose it, though!

November 5th, 2008 at 5:21 pmThere’s software called Blackberry Desktop manager that will manage all of your info a and switch it over to the new phone. I’ve gone through three Blackberries the past couple years and my husband (the resident nerd) is always able to just hook my phone up to the computer via a USB cable and transfer everything over.. phone numbers, scheduler info, pictures, everything!

My kids and husband make fun of me because I’m always texting. They say I’m going to get “Texter’s Thumb”. I’ve never heard of it. I think they’re just jealous cuz they don’t have my mad texting skilz…haha!
