A Year in Review

December 31, 2008

I had intended to take photos every single day of the year. And picke a daily favorite. I wasn’t planning on posting them everyday, but thought that I would make a photo book at the end of the year. 365 Photos.

I took thousands of photos this year. But failed at this one project. 2009 is a new year.

Here is my year in review, in photos and posts.

This was the scene last New Year’s Eve day. It looks exactly like this outside today, except that the snow is still falling. Spending New Year’s Eve with a snowblower is shaping up to be a tradition.

So impressed with your synopsis! That’s the best thing about blogging - it doesn’t seem that we are compiling memories as we write about this and that; but it all adds up to something memorable.

    Hi Chris,

I just wanted to tell you “Happy New Year!” Thank you for letting me into your life, and for sharing. Reading your blog helps me keep my life (with 4 boys, in a foreign country) in perspective.

You and Carmen (Mom to the Screaming Masses) have totally inspired me to start and keep my blog, and also to appreciate my large family. (I don’t know that many people in real life with this kind of crowd).

Thanks for it all. Have a FABULOUS 2009!

  24. Laurie says:

    Dear Chris,

I really enjoyed reading through and looking at the great pictures on your website.

I was looking through old magazines and saw your article, ‘Trash Talk’ in June 07 Good Housekeeping.

I have 4 boys (2 sets of twins - 18 and 13) I still wonder How do you do it?

Thanks so much for the much needed comic relief.

    Sincerely,
    Laurie

  25. Allison says:

Can I move into your pantry? I am super jealous of it.

  26. Michelle says:

I will come out of my lurking corner to say that I love your photos, your writing pazazz (I can make up words; I’m an English teacher)and wonderful sense of humor. You manage to say with a funny twist all the things that sound mean in our heads and we find ourselves wondering if anyone else feels this insane. And then you say it for us and we feel better.

A bright spot to my day.
