Well, not that I’ve ever commented on your blog before (I don’t think) I’m going to guess you’re out here near LA. I’m solely basing this on the fact that your daughter is wearing a sundress. Not that it was that warm yesterday and sunny yesterday, but it kind of was on Friday and Saturday if the picture is from then.
Welcome to Austin! I apologize in advance for sounding stalkery, but I live here and would be happy to get you information about fun things to do/good places to etc, etc. Welcome, welcome!
Ok…so I went to whole foods website so they have like 200 stores. So now divide that in 1/2 for ones that you could be dressed like you are. THAT STILL DOES NOT HELP! MORE CLUES OR JUST TELL US! Pretty pretty please with sugar on top. Hey it gets my two year old what she wants.
Hmmm, sunny and warm enough for that pretty dress but the trees in the background of the swing photo sure don’t look tropical…. Hmmmm, Myrtle Beach, SC?
It’s WARM there. I am SO jealous. Insanely so. I don’t have any guesses but CAN NOT wait for you to disclose, because we have been researching warmer climates to move to this spring and so far have come up empty.
I have a vague guess now - the time difference from where I am and where Chris is (presuming that the blog times are correct for her timezone) would suggest east coast to me. Possibly not the USA though the baseball would seem to indicate USA so I am sticking with east coast.
Has to be one of these places: Atlanta Boston Chicago Dallas Denver Houston Las Vegas Los Angeles
New York Philadelphia San Diego San Francisco
Seattle Washington - because that’s where Whole Foods are (is??)…..also has to be someplace warm (note sleeveless dress on adorable child and bright sunlight) - so, that means most likely NOT Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York, Philadelphia or Seattle…….leaves Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, LA, San Diego…..am I close?????!!!!!
Ok, warm, but not the right trees for Vegas or Phoenix or Florida, I don’t think. It’s either California, or southeast, like Georgia or Alabama. Maybe.
I think you are in London England,
They have Ikea (which i freaking love)
and Whole Foods stores……..
and it would account for the masive time difference?
Okay, the last picture is in an IKEA, right??!!! Here’s where all the IKEAs are…..
AZ, Tempe
CA, Burbank
CA, Carson
CA, Costa Mesa
CA, Covina
CA, East Palo Alto
CA, Emeryville
CA, San Diego
CA, West Sacramento
CT, New Haven
FL, Orlando
FL, Sunrise
GA, Atlanta
IL, Bolingbrook
IL, Schaumburg
MA, Stoughton
MD, Baltimore
MD, College Park
MI, Canton
MN, Twin Cities
NJ, Elizabeth
NJ, Paramus
NY, Brooklyn

OH, West Chester
OR, Portland
PA, Conshohocken
PA, Pittsburgh
PA, South Philadelphia
TX, Frisco
TX, Round Rock
TX, Houston
UT, Draper
VA, Woodbridge
WA, SeattleIKEA Direct
So, no Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Seattle, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan, Massachussets (did I spell that one correctly??),or Illinois cities - too cold for clothes in pictures right now….and so far, only Atlanta, Dallas/Houston, LA, San Diago also have Whole Foods…..need another picture…..
I am guessing Atlanta or Texas b/c:
1. It is warm enough to wear shorts. Yet, they still have seasons.
2. They have an IKEA. Not many warm places have IKEAs in the US.
I have it narrowed down to Arizona, California, Texas or Florida… they are the only states that have both Whole Foods and Ikea and are warm enough to allow for such a cute dress on your daughter… clearly, I have too much time on my hands… I’ll be getting back to work now…
So, based on Whole Foods + Ikea (I can’t believe I googled IKEA Locations, I’m too competitive) along with the lack of leaves or buds in the trees + the baseball already starting, I’m thinking Dallas, TX. I was going to throw in Alanta, GA as the other option, but I don’t think GA is as big of a baseball state as TX is. And since I grew up in a suburb of Dallas, I’m pulling for Dallas as well. (I’m guessing Houston/Austin have a bit more green already, but I could be wrong.)
Where ever you are, I hope you enjoy the warmth and sun, and the transition goes smothly. And I just saw online NE is hit with another snow storm so looks like you got out just in time!
towns that have both ikea and whole foods:
Tempe AZ**
Palo Alto CA**
San Diego CA**
Orlando FL**
Atlanta Georgia**

Paramus NJ
New York NY
Cincinnati OH
Portland OR
Pittsburg PA
Piladelphia PA
Houston TX**

The ones with ** are more likly for the way your daughter was dressed.
Along with trying to guess were you moved I found out I have no life! LOL Come on….next clue!
Clues… Sunny, warm. The kids are already playing team baseball, you’re buying hangers at IKEA and yet you had all your stuff packed up and shipped. …This is a very good Sherlock Holmesish mystery!
Okay- Well, based on the Whole Foods bag, you are not in Alabama, Georgia, North/South Carolina, or Tenessee.
Based on the lack of leaves on the the trees- you are not in the Bay Area, in fact due to the time zone you are not on the West Coast. If you are not on PST ( pacific Standard Time) does that make you in the same time zone as Colorado?
RockyMountainTime I think. But not as far north as Colorado, since there should be snow on the ground still in February, I think.
Well you’ve moved near an Ikea and near a Whole Foods. Also, your baby girl is not in a jacket, or sweater and anything to keep her warm other than sunshine so you’re not near me on Long Island. You obvoiusly went West of the Mississippi. Maybe my home state - California? Oh how I would envy you if you did.
This is driving me nuts.
I don’t play these games very well.
However, I just had an A-HA moment. A few weeks ago you mentioned that baseball season was starting and I remember being confused. Because you live(lived) in a cold, snowy place and it seemed a little early for running around bases.
But obviously you’ve moved someplace warm and that whole baseball thing makes sense now.
I wonder what other hints I missed.
I think you’re in Texas, maybe near Austin. Its warm there, there is an Ikea and Whole Foods and I googled “real people eat meat” and found a reference to a reference called “rudys”
You would not believe how much that dress looks like one my daughter had about 1972. It looks like the same print! She was in first grade and a real little cutie.
I’m guessing Texas by the terrain and the warmth. Vegas doesn’t have trees, like in the baseball pic. Can’t believe you’re at the ball field already!!!
have you come to GA (definitely looks like somewhere in teh SE)…it was not quite sleeveless weather this weekend, but you guys with thick Northern blood probably thought it was…I am dying to know where you are…I hate that you had to leave your beautiful home…can’t wait to see where you land and what you have in store to share with us…
I’m loving all these pictures even though I can’t even begin to guess where this is. Although, seeing the clothes everyone is wearing, I can DEFINITELY rule out Canada (as I go get another sweater to put on, brr).
I’m going to guess you didn’t move up here to Canada. I was kinda hoping you’d move in next door. But then your daughter would be bundled head to toe in snowsuit, boots, hat, mittens… I’m so jealous.
You all (or should I say ya’ll?) are in a much warmer climate i.e. shorts, sleeveless, sunshine, baseball already started and clue eleven looks very southern..no weathered wood in Southern California with Gulf gasoline signs. The Carolinas or Florida are my guess, you could have done reconnaisance (sp?)work while on latest sport/disney trip.
where ever it is… i am jealous. because where i live we still have snow up to our knees, and 10 degrees feels warm. can’t wait to hear all the details of this adventure you are on!
I see IKEA, WHOLEFOODS and warm weather so I’m thinking CA. But then, Gulf, Texaco, and Big meat eaters? Southern states, Texas? Wait, those fences (the swing picture)are very typical in residential yards in CA
I think you’ve moved to Texas, specifically Austin. (this is based on clues 8-11 also). Where ever you are, welcome to warmer (and less frozen) winters.
The house I can make out next to the swingset picture looks like a style in CA, FL or AZ. However, the structure in the latest photo is made of wood…and buildings in FL are concrete (at least on the first level)
I have question, if you are all flying to where you are moving - assuming this because there is one picture showing your husband and I am assuming (again) you are taking the picture, then did you sell your vehicles? or is it so far away that you shipped them with your household stuff? As oppossed to driving there? And from the pictures of the boys playing ball, the trees, grass, dirt and such look like the panhandle/north Florida or Texas - the coastal area or central Texas, but not the hill country, more around Houston to San Antonia off I-10. Okay, those are my guesses: North Florida to Texas along the I-10 corridor (which I guess could include Alabama, Mississippi or Louisianna). Wherever it is, I wish you happiness and blessings. I will miss the pictures of the New England seasons.
Well, wait a moment. Can you be farther East than the East coast? I am here is California, and the East Coast should only be 3 hours ahead of us…but you semm to be 4 hours…
I don’t know. You were going to see a friend in Florida, weren’t you? Are you moving to Florida? We started baseball here, we have a Whole Foods here and we have an Ikea here. And the weather is nice enough to go on a swing. Is it Florida? But them again, maybe it’s someplace where beef is a big part of the economy, in which case I would say Texas, someplace hip and cool like Austin.
You moved to Heaven! I know ’cause it’s warm enough there to swing on swings, and wear cute sundresses without sweaters or coats. And here in Connecticut, it SO isn’t.
Ooh, I want the sun! And hurrah - you’re going to be warm, Chris! And my best guess is east coast based on your times of posting and the time difference from where I am.
I’m not sure if this is the right place to comment, there are so many pictures, but I think you are in California. Probably not the coast–it’s a little too warm on that thermomter and the old gas station signs, etc, don’t look coastal.
“The sage in bloom is like perfume,
deep in the heart of Texas,
The cowboys cry, “Ki-yip-pee-yi.”
deep in the heart o’ Texas!”
Yep, Round Rock or another town around Austin, TX is my guess..
First of all, she is so stinking adorable. So is your little Miles..heck, ALL of your children are beautiful! I love reading your blog, and have tried a few of your recipes on workitmom. I am going to guess that you have moved to………….. Texas? Possibly Houston? Just a guess
Okay, I have Waaaayyyyy too much time on my hands! But here is what I think: Maryland. You had to fly to get there, the weather is relatively warm but not tropical (no leaves on trees) and there is an Ikea and Whole Foods there.
I am determined to get this right. Based on the weather, the Ikea, and Whole Foods, I think it might be Florida. I’m going to go out on a whim and say Orlando. I’m in Atlanta right now, and it was sweater weather today…plus, with the Home Depot and Coca-Cola sign, it HAS to be the South, but I could be wrong.
Should have been online earlier. My vote is for Round Rock, too. Ikea - check. Whole foods - check. Austin steam train - stops in Round Rock/Cedar Park area - check.
It’s bright and sunny, and your daughter is wearing short sleeves…Florida??
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:03 amWest coast by the time you posted… and warm, by the sleeveless, adorable sundress. Hmmmm, San Diego.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:04 amWell….it’s gotta be some place warm. NOT Chicago this week, NOT Vegas. I have to say Florida.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:04 amSomeplace warm, where the weather was sunny this weekend. So, not California (at least northern). I’m down to Florida, Texas or Arizona.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:06 amMiami?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:06 amYou are someplace warm. I’m guessing Arizona.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:07 amHmm….perfectly cropped to hide license plates…..
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:07 amSomewhere warm!
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:08 amWow! Someplace warm obviously! What a change! That should make you very happy.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:09 amMy guess is warmer than the NE, maybe Austin, TX? Wherever it is wish I were there as I’m tired of winter already…
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:09 amAre you in California???
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:10 amObviously you’re somewhere warm…’cause up north it’s still snowing and blowing and we’re still wearing our parkas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:11 amI don’t think they have whole foods in europe
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:11 amsouthern CA.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:13 amMy guess is San Diego, Calif. Very warm and very “Whole Food”ish.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:13 amWell it’s certainly someplace warm…
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:14 amHas to be out west somewhere. We were in shorts and t-shirts yesterday here in AZ. And today will be 85!
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:15 amIt is somewhere warm, right?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:15 amAz? SoCal?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:16 amSan Diego?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:16 amI am now guessing South Florida!
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:16 amWell, not that I’ve ever commented on your blog before (I don’t think) I’m going to guess you’re out here near LA. I’m solely basing this on the fact that your daughter is wearing a sundress. Not that it was that warm yesterday and sunny yesterday, but it kind of was on Friday and Saturday if the picture is from then.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:16 amI say San Francisco/San Jose area.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:19 amArizona……….FLorida
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:20 amOk, I am going with Florida……since you are 4hrs ahead of me……..
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:24 amWell, I know it isn’t Jax. Fl. because we don’t have a Whole Foods. Maybe Atlanta?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:27 amWell, you are clearly going somewhere that is a lot warmer than it was when you moved….
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:29 amhmmm…Mt. Pleasant, SC?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:29 amYou are some where very warm.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:30 amWell you ain’t in FL! We don’t have TJ’s here. I keep hearing rumors that they are coming this year. Not holding my breath.
I’m going with Hotlanta, GA cuz missy is in such a pretty springy dress!
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:31 amWelcome to Austin! I apologize in advance for sounding stalkery, but I live here and would be happy to get you information about fun things to do/good places to etc, etc. Welcome, welcome!
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:32 amWell, the sleeveless dress leaves out Seattle that’s for sure! =) Must be somewhere south.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:33 amAustin, TX?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:34 amOk. Obviously not Madison, WI….
How about Albuquerque, NM?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:34 amSomewhere warm and in the future? It shows on my computer as posted today at 11:00 a.m. — yet it is only 10:35 a.m. here on the east coast. Hmmm…
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:35 amOkay, I have to guess Texas too. Maybe even Austin (which, incidentally, is where I live too).
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:37 amAustin, Texas
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:42 amOk…so I went to whole foods website so they have like 200 stores. So now divide that in 1/2 for ones that you could be dressed like you are. THAT STILL DOES NOT HELP! MORE CLUES OR JUST TELL US! Pretty pretty please with sugar on top. Hey it gets my two year old what she wants.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:43 amSouthern California.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:46 amGeorgia !!!!! Short sleeve dress, warm weather.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:47 amEight’s picture looks like a Texas backyard. Blue sky, wooden swing set, fence. And it is the HQ of Wholefoods…
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:47 amWherever you are, it is warm and for that I am envious
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:47 amsacramento, california
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:49 amHmmm, sunny and warm enough for that pretty dress but the trees in the background of the swing photo sure don’t look tropical…. Hmmmm, Myrtle Beach, SC?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:50 amThat is a cute picture. Obviously you moved someplace warm because she isn’t exactly bundled up. You didn’t happen to move here to Texas, did you?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:51 amOhh…it looks warm so you are somewhere south!
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:56 amCalifornia?!??
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:00 pmI’m guessing texas- Austin or Houston, I hope! If so, yee-haw and Welcome.
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:03 pmCalifornia!!
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:03 pmYay, Chris is going to be warm! I want some of that sunshine!
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:06 pmI think NC… hopefully the Triangle area…. you would be a great addition to the Tarheel state.
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:07 pmIt’s WARM there. I am SO jealous. Insanely so. I don’t have any guesses but CAN NOT wait for you to disclose, because we have been researching warmer climates to move to this spring and so far have come up empty.

February 23rd, 2009 at 12:15 pmI’m thinking the Carolinas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:18 pmYou weren’t kidding when you said you were sick of snow!!
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:21 pmHmmm….Arizona, maybe?! Or the obvious…California?!
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:21 pmwell… that obvioussly CANNOT be Canada whatsoever.
I mean.
sunny? summer dress? come on.
(not that I’m jealous or anything. given the current snow storm outside my windows. lalalallalaaaa.)
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:24 pmIt’s certainly not in the north. WARM, and no snow! FL is my guess!
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:37 pmHas to be one of these places: Atlanta Boston Chicago Dallas Denver Houston Las Vegas Los Angeles
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:39 pmNew York Philadelphia San Diego San Francisco
Seattle Washington - because that’s where Whole Foods are (is??)…..also has to be someplace warm (note sleeveless dress on adorable child and bright sunlight) - so, that means most likely NOT Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York, Philadelphia or Seattle…….leaves Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, LA, San Diego…..am I close?????!!!!!
OK, well I will never guess because I am on the wrong side of the world. all I know is that I am very jealous because it is HOT!!!
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:46 pmWherever you are it is waaaaaaay warmer than CT, and for that I am very, very jealous.
February 23rd, 2009 at 12:58 pmOk, warm, but not the right trees for Vegas or Phoenix or Florida, I don’t think. It’s either California, or southeast, like Georgia or Alabama. Maybe.

February 23rd, 2009 at 1:08 pmYou moved to Florida!!
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:27 pmHMMMMM…Already on the baseball roster…buying lots and lots of wooden hangers……..outdoor play yard….short sleeves….time confusion…..

Nope…definitely going with Arizona. California would be too obvious, right?! ;o)
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:34 pmFLORIDA! Orlando maybe?

February 23rd, 2009 at 1:38 pmI noticed in your recent picture you are in Ikea. So you are somewhere with an Ikea. Hmmmmm….
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:39 pmSo, based on Whole Foods + Ikea (I can’t believe I googled IKEA Locations, I’m too competitive) along with the lack of leaves or buds in the trees + the baseball already starting, I’m thinking Dallas, TX. Could that be the new IKEA in Charlotte?
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:46 pmFirst off, I’m jealous she can wear a short-sleeve dress where ever she is!
I’m going to guess either Florida (since you were just there) or Oklahoma (to live closer to Susan).
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:47 pmIts like where is Waldo!
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:48 pmDS and I cross referenced the Ikea and Whole foods location lists.
We think your in Tempe, AZ.
??
Clues… Sunny, warm. The kids are already playing team baseball, you’re buying hangers at IKEA and yet you had all your stuff packed up and shipped. …This is a very good Sherlock Holmesish mystery!
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:49 pmhmmm or maybe round rock?
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:49 pmSomeplace warm that has both Whole Foods and Ikea…..I have no clue but hope you are settling in nicely to your new digs, where ever they may be.
February 23rd, 2009 at 1:58 pmIt’s like 90 degrees in South Texas today, maybe South Padre’ or somewhere else on the Gulf? I am jealous of the sleeveles weather.
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:01 pmSomewhere near Houston, TX?
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:04 pmOkay- Well, based on the Whole Foods bag, you are not in Alabama, Georgia, North/South Carolina, or Tenessee.
Based on the lack of leaves on the the trees- you are not in the Bay Area, in fact due to the time zone you are not on the West Coast. If you are not on PST ( pacific Standard Time) does that make you in the same time zone as Colorado?

Whoops! It is not 11:00 there anymore, it is 2:00- so that eliminates Colorado- you must be on the East Coast.
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:09 pmRound Rock, Texas?
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:10 pmI am guessing Huston TX.
Am I right???
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:13 pmWell you’ve moved near an Ikea and near a Whole Foods. Also, your baby girl is not in a jacket, or sweater and anything to keep her warm other than sunshine so you’re not near me on Long Island. You obvoiusly went West of the Mississippi. Maybe my home state - California? Oh how I would envy you if you did.
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:16 pmI know Texas
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:19 pmHa!! It is warm. This place. This new place is warm. The child has no coat. Wherever it is, I want to be there too!
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:25 pmTexas??
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:27 pmThis is driving me nuts.
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:31 pmI don’t play these games very well.

I wonder what other hints I missed.
it’s still in the USA, b/c there is little league.
i guess that you’ve moved to Houston, Texas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:34 pmOkay, I have a new guess: the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area. Is it right?
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:39 pmI think you’re in Texas, maybe near Austin. Its warm there, there is an Ikea and Whole Foods and I googled “real people eat meat” and found a reference to a reference called “rudys”
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:43 pmI mean ‘a reference to a restaurant called “Rudy’s”‘
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:44 pmAlrighty, I’m revising my previous guess. A Whole Foods *and* an Ikea *and* warm(ish) weather? I’m guessing somewhere near Houston, TX?
Or maybe near Orlando?
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:46 pmI definitely think Atlanta (or its suburbs) after seeing the Esso sign.
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:48 pmYou would not believe how much that dress looks like one my daughter had about 1972. It looks like the same print! She was in first grade and a real little cutie.
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:48 pmDid you move to Washing DC area?
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:48 pmI’m guessing Texas by the terrain and the warmth. Vegas doesn’t have trees, like in the baseball pic. Can’t believe you’re at the ball field already!!!
February 23rd, 2009 at 2:56 pmVery Important!
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:00 pmTexas? I’m thinking Houston or Austin…perhaps a Dallas suburb?
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:04 pmSarasota? Seriously, the suspense is KILLING me!
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:04 pmCHARLOTTE, NC! That’s my guess!
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:10 pmAre you in Texas? If so RUN!
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:16 pmOk Im going with Charlotte, Atlanta or Florida.
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:18 pmhouston area texas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:27 pmMy gosh, this isn’t Austin,TX is it??
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:35 pmOrlando Florida …or Atlanta Georgia???
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:37 pmhave you come to GA (definitely looks like somewhere in teh SE)…it was not quite sleeveless weather this weekend, but you guys with thick Northern blood probably thought it was…I am dying to know where you are…I hate that you had to leave your beautiful home…can’t wait to see where you land and what you have in store to share with us…
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:37 pmLooks like California
Not Northern though we’ve had rain for the past week and a half. Maybe Arizona?
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:38 pmAfter the meat post I’m definitely going Texas, specifically Dallas. Oh the suspense. You are killing me.
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:38 pmI’m loving all these pictures even though I can’t even begin to guess where this is. Although, seeing the clothes everyone is wearing, I can DEFINITELY rule out Canada (as I go get another sweater to put on, brr).
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:39 pmAnd…. my guess is Round Rock, Texas. Or at least Austin and you are just exploring the vicinity!
Now I’m intrigued. Certainly a little warmer there! Susan will be jealous
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:40 pmOooh it’s somewhere warm! I don’t know where, but I am thinking you are lucky!
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:40 pmFrom the “Real People Eat Meat” sign - are you in Texas? That is Rudy’s BBQ’s slogan.
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:42 pmYou have so got to be in Houston.
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:46 pmI’m going to guess you didn’t move up here to Canada. I was kinda hoping you’d move in next door. But then your daughter would be bundled head to toe in snowsuit, boots, hat, mittens… I’m so jealous.
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:46 pmIt looks like Texas to me!
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:49 pmYou all (or should I say ya’ll?) are in a much warmer climate i.e. shorts, sleeveless, sunshine, baseball already started and clue eleven looks very southern..no weathered wood in Southern California with Gulf gasoline signs. The Carolinas or Florida are my guess, you could have done reconnaisance (sp?)work while on latest sport/disney trip.
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:50 pmwhere ever it is… i am jealous. because where i live we still have snow up to our knees, and 10 degrees feels warm. can’t wait to hear all the details of this adventure you are on!
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:52 pmI see IKEA, WHOLEFOODS and warm weather so I’m thinking CA. But then, Gulf, Texaco, and Big meat eaters? Southern states, Texas? Wait, those fences (the swing picture)are very typical in residential yards in CA
February 23rd, 2009 at 3:59 pmI’ll play along…Houston?
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:01 pmI think you’ve moved to Texas, specifically Austin. (this is based on clues 8-11 also). Where ever you are, welcome to warmer (and less frozen) winters.
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:03 pmYou moved to Austin, TX!
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:15 pmGulf coast somewhere?
The house I can make out next to the swingset picture looks like a style in CA, FL or AZ. However, the structure in the latest photo is made of wood…and buildings in FL are concrete (at least on the first level)
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:16 pmI have question, if you are all flying to where you are moving - assuming this because there is one picture showing your husband and I am assuming (again) you are taking the picture, then did you sell your vehicles? or is it so far away that you shipped them with your household stuff? As oppossed to driving there? And from the pictures of the boys playing ball, the trees, grass, dirt and such look like the panhandle/north Florida or Texas - the coastal area or central Texas, but not the hill country, more around Houston to San Antonia off I-10. Okay, those are my guesses: North Florida to Texas along the I-10 corridor (which I guess could include Alabama, Mississippi or Louisianna). Wherever it is, I wish you happiness and blessings. I will miss the pictures of the New England seasons.
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:20 pmmy guess is sunny sunny florida!
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:24 pmWell, wait a moment. Can you be farther East than the East coast? I am here is California, and the East Coast should only be 3 hours ahead of us…but you semm to be 4 hours…
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:28 pmTexas?
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:33 pmAtlanta? It looks warm.
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:38 pmAustin, Texas! You’re in Austin, Texas. Rudy’s BBQ gave it away.
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:39 pmObviously you are in PARADISE!!!!!!!!!!!! Warmth in February, how awesome is that!!! Can’t wait to hear the details!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:43 pmI don’t know.
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:43 pmTEXAS!!! either austin or college station.
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:46 pmTexas!
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:56 pmP.S. And I am so jealous that you don’t have to wear a winter coat.
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:57 pmOh!! I KNOW!!! I KNOW!!!
You moved to Heaven! I know ’cause it’s warm enough there to swing on swings, and wear cute sundresses without sweaters or coats. And here in Connecticut, it SO isn’t.
February 23rd, 2009 at 4:59 pmOh yeah, forgot the guessing part. My money’s on California. Or Oregon. Perhaps not Oregon though, I haven’t seen enough green grass yet.
February 23rd, 2009 at 5:01 pmSeattle? We have Whole Foods here, not sure if it’s national or not!
February 23rd, 2009 at 5:07 pmOoh, I want the sun! And hurrah - you’re going to be warm, Chris! And my best guess is east coast based on your times of posting and the time difference from where I am.
February 23rd, 2009 at 5:11 pmIt’s gotta be Houston Tx- or perhaps a suburb of…
February 23rd, 2009 at 5:16 pmi say atlanta… whole foods + home depot ad on the billboard + short sleeves. looks like my hometown to me!
February 23rd, 2009 at 5:19 pmOMG, you’re in ATLANTA! I live in the northern ATL suburbs. Would love it if you were here. Wherever you are, welcome to THE SOUTH
February 23rd, 2009 at 5:58 pmI’m not sure if this is the right place to comment, there are so many pictures, but I think you are in California. Probably not the coast–it’s a little too warm on that thermomter and the old gas station signs, etc, don’t look coastal.
February 23rd, 2009 at 6:05 pm“The sage in bloom is like perfume,
February 23rd, 2009 at 6:06 pmdeep in the heart of Texas,
The cowboys cry, “Ki-yip-pee-yi.”
deep in the heart o’ Texas!”
Yep, Round Rock or another town around Austin, TX is my guess..
You are in Texas Am I right Did i win
i know i cheated but i love to win
Looks nice and sunny send some warm weather our way
February 23rd, 2009 at 6:17 pmOh dear lord-it all looks pretty familiar. Are you in/around Fresno???
February 23rd, 2009 at 6:57 pmOK….Are you in Maine? Or on an island off of Florida?
Come on, give!!
February 23rd, 2009 at 6:57 pmEh….Florida??
February 23rd, 2009 at 7:04 pmAre you in Florida or New Mexico??????? The sun dress and sandals are shocking
February 23rd, 2009 at 7:25 pmI think you are now in Charlotte, NC
February 23rd, 2009 at 7:44 pmI guessed from the Ikea photo and the Whole foods photo and the climate. Am I right?
Austin, Texas. Final Answer.
February 23rd, 2009 at 8:20 pmIs it Texas?
February 23rd, 2009 at 8:37 pmI guess Austin, Texas….
February 23rd, 2009 at 8:40 pmSince I am in Houston I am going to say Dallas based on how the children are dressed.
February 23rd, 2009 at 9:07 pmgoing to guess california…or gorgia..
February 23rd, 2009 at 9:18 pmFirst of all, she is so stinking adorable. So is your little Miles..heck, ALL of your children are beautiful! I love reading your blog, and have tried a few of your recipes on workitmom. I am going to guess that you have moved to………….. Texas? Possibly Houston? Just a guess
February 23rd, 2009 at 9:54 pmI’m gonna guess San Diego.
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:02 pmOkay, I have Waaaayyyyy too much time on my hands! But here is what I think: Maryland. You had to fly to get there, the weather is relatively warm but not tropical (no leaves on trees) and there is an Ikea and Whole Foods there.
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:13 pmI am determined to get this right.
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:14 pmI was going to say Las Vegas until I saw #10 - there’s no IKEA here. But then there’s #12 - it was in the 70s here today…
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:28 pmSomeplace warm! Yay you! Houston? Texas? I know there’s a great Whole Foods in Houston.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:40 pmWest coast! The angle of the shadow of something highly scientific like that…
February 24th, 2009 at 12:08 amAUSTIN TEXAS
February 24th, 2009 at 12:09 amOkay I take back Maryland. It’s Texas!!
February 24th, 2009 at 12:30 amI’m going to guess Texas. It looks like the Midwest, and we don’t have an Ikea in Oklahoma.
February 24th, 2009 at 3:30 ammy guess is HOUSTON!
February 24th, 2009 at 11:15 amThis is definitely Texas!
Looks very much like the North Austin/Round-Rock/Cedar Park area.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:05 pmDid you move to Dallas? Cute photos by the wall. Love the fat black deer comment.
February 24th, 2009 at 1:38 pmAtlanta?
February 24th, 2009 at 1:51 pmShould have been online earlier. My vote is for Round Rock, too. Ikea - check. Whole foods - check. Austin steam train - stops in Round Rock/Cedar Park area - check.
February 24th, 2009 at 6:03 pmAllrighty- So, I made my comment guessing Houston, TX on 2/23 at 5:16 PM and it says it is still awaiting moderation… Have I been rejected?
February 24th, 2009 at 8:37 pm
