I’m sticking w/ Texas
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:34 pmOk, I just guessed Texas on the first post because the comments weren’t open here. I’m putting it here too though.
Are you so happy to be warm? I live in Alaska so I am jealous of your almost 70 degree weather!
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:34 pmOkay, looking at this picture and at number 14 I still think that you might have moved to Texas. However, most of the pictures I have seen would also apply to parts of California, so maybe you moved there?
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:36 pmDeep in the heart of Texas?
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:37 pmTexas! You’ve moved to Texas!
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:37 pmDefinately Texas! I’ve never been there so I have no idea what town.
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:38 pmI think somewhere in Texas. Near Houston?
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:39 pmTexas! West Texas, most likely!
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:39 pmThat’s funny.
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:41 pmTexas?
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:41 pmHouston, Texas or Huntsville, AL

February 23rd, 2009 at 10:43 pmHouston, TX?! You moved to Houston!
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:44 pmtexas!! i guess texas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:44 pmSo how do your baseball players feel about moving to the land of football?
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:45 pmI think you have moved to Texas, maybe Austin?
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:45 pmMy bets on Texas!
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:45 pmI’m saying…Texas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:45 pmI’m changing my vote to Texas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:50 pmAustin.
When will you tell us?!?!
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:51 pmNope, not Seattle. Bummer!
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:52 pmHere?
February 23rd, 2009 at 10:57 pmhttp://www.sportscapitaloftexas.com/sports.php
i’ve got it. it’s texas. you moved your family there for the football coach in a small town so that your son can become an all-star quarterback. oh wait no, that’s a tv show. i still vote for texas though.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:00 pmMan. Are you sure I didn’t win with Houston?
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:02 pmI don’t know yet where you’ve gone, but it looks like you are going to be going through some serious culture shock!
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:08 pmYou are either in Florida or somewhere in the south. You could be in Texas, but I don’t think so.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:10 pmDelurking because I like puzzles. Going on the clues of the Gulf mention, the star on the water tower, and the deer-like cows (Texas longhorns, maybe?), I will guess Texas!
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:14 pmis it TEXAS???
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:17 pmI’m guessing you are somewhere in Texas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:24 pmIs it Texas??? or maybe virginia???
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:29 pmIs the contest over? I’m going with Austin.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:36 pmhmmmm…….texas??
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:39 pmIt looks a lot like Texas.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:47 pmOk…….I’m guessing Texas now.
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:49 pmAre you in Texas????
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:50 pmYou HAVE to be in Texas and if you are I hope its Austin!!!! : )
February 23rd, 2009 at 11:50 pmI’m so curious as to the new location… My guess is Austin, TX.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:00 amThat thar water tower can also be seen at http://www.roundrocktexas.gov/images/old-downtown-water-tower.gif “Round Rock Has a Pure Water Supply”!
“We, the people of Round Rock are proud of the progress that has been made here in the past 25 years. Come to Round Rock to live and help us make still faster progress in the next 25 years. - (signed) The City of Round Rock, Texas”
Is this where Miles’ new baseball team will be? Did you sign him onto the little league team of Round Rock?
(Please delete all my comments if they’re right and you don’t want people to know where you are.)
February 24th, 2009 at 12:07 amOHH NO THIS MIGHT BE HOUSTON
February 24th, 2009 at 12:10 amOMG that is priceless!
February 24th, 2009 at 12:11 amand that’s a photo of the new Old Settlers Park Sports Complex… okay I’ll quit now. We have relatives in Austin, so I’m a little familiar with the area.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:11 amLooks a lot like where we lived in Texas…but I guess a lot of places could look like that.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:15 amYou’re in Lone Star, Texas!!
February 24th, 2009 at 12:15 amdeep in the heart of texas!
February 24th, 2009 at 12:17 amI want to say Oklahoma because that’s where Susan lives.
But it’s looking very Texas-y

February 24th, 2009 at 12:47 amSomewhere in Texas?
February 24th, 2009 at 12:48 amIs it Round Rock, TX…or thereabout??
February 24th, 2009 at 12:48 amI’m going to guess Austin, TX. Based on the nearby IKEA, multiple Whole Foods, sign saying real people eat meat, the lone star on a water tower, and the fact that I’d actually move there if presented with the opportunity. Am I close?
February 24th, 2009 at 12:55 amHouston, Texas?
February 24th, 2009 at 1:05 amquick, we’re losing interest!
February 24th, 2009 at 1:06 amRound Rock, Texas Why didn’t you move to Florida?
February 24th, 2009 at 1:12 amI don’t know if you meant to leave comments on or not, but I vote Texas.
February 24th, 2009 at 1:26 amSomewhere west of Houston, TX. Katy?
February 24th, 2009 at 1:35 amGotta be Texas…looks like my backyard
February 24th, 2009 at 1:53 amTexas?
February 24th, 2009 at 1:54 amTexas! I say Texas!
February 24th, 2009 at 1:55 amRound Rock, Texas http://www.docfizzix.com/images/round-rock-l.jpg
February 24th, 2009 at 1:58 amThat’s GOT to be Texas.
February 24th, 2009 at 2:10 amI say Texas. It looks pretty flat. Best of luck in your
February 24th, 2009 at 3:21 amnew locale.
Now, I am not American, but I had an inkling something was going on when you mentioned a while back that in a few weeks time baseball would start again. I thought to myself: baseball, in the snow? Shouldn’t that take another couple of months out there in New England?
February 24th, 2009 at 4:13 amI live in Ireland. My house is surrounded by farmland so cows are really not a novelty. My sister lived in Baltimore MD for years. When my nieces were home on holidays we went to a local wildlife park to see the giraffes, monkeys, kangaroos etc. The kids were all excited going down in the car. When we got there my niece jumped out of the car and ran to the fence around the carpark jumping up and down with excitement. “look, look over there, it’s a cow” She was right, it was a cow in the neighbouring farm! Not what we had in mind as the main attraction in the safarii park though. I think that might have been when my sister decided it was time to move back to Ireland!
February 24th, 2009 at 4:27 amI’m going to delurk to guess Texas? Or has someone already gotten the correct answer?
February 24th, 2009 at 4:35 amI think you’ve moved to Austin Texas….
February 24th, 2009 at 5:04 amI’m guessing Houston, Texas (or thereabouts).
February 24th, 2009 at 6:46 amI still think it’s Houston.
February 24th, 2009 at 7:15 amTexas…… The Lone Star State
February 24th, 2009 at 7:28 amYep, totally being “that blogger.”
February 24th, 2009 at 7:34 amIs it Texas? Or Kansas? Or I am thinking somewhere near Susan (of the Friday Playdate variety).
February 24th, 2009 at 7:50 amIm going to guess Texas. Warm, cows, eating meat….
February 24th, 2009 at 7:58 amOr California? Georgia? South Carolina? Tennessee?
February 24th, 2009 at 8:02 amTexas?
February 24th, 2009 at 8:41 amDallas!!!
February 24th, 2009 at 8:44 amGuessing the Friday night lights, Texas Star, warm temps, and lots’o'meat state of Texas!
February 24th, 2009 at 8:45 amTexas?
February 24th, 2009 at 8:46 amMust be Texas!
February 24th, 2009 at 8:49 amI live in Florida…it’s looking like you moved somewhere near Orlando. I am guessing a small town around Orlando. I know that there is an IKEA in Orlando…and it can be rural in that area surrounding the city.
February 24th, 2009 at 8:49 amTEXAS!!!
February 24th, 2009 at 8:53 amI think you are in Texas. I am totally jealous of the warm weather you have - it is 20 degrees and 40 mile an hour wind gusts where I am. Hope you all love your new home.
February 24th, 2009 at 9:12 amDo they have fat black deer in Arizona? Maybe your in Houston.
February 24th, 2009 at 9:24 amI say Texas. Just because I’m in Texas and see cows, bison and horses on daily basis : ) Plus, picture Fourteen has a star - The Lone Star State.
February 24th, 2009 at 9:26 amAre you in Tennessee?
February 24th, 2009 at 9:35 amI got it! You’ve moved your family to the set of ‘Friday Night Lights’!
February 24th, 2009 at 9:56 amHaving fun with torturing us
Im thinking maybe oklahoma, new mexico or arizona.
February 24th, 2009 at 10:00 amFat black deer! Oh, that is priceless.
February 24th, 2009 at 10:02 amI am guessing Austin, Texas.
February 24th, 2009 at 10:16 amTasty fat black deer….
February 24th, 2009 at 10:27 amI think you are either in or around Phoenix AZ, Sacramento CA, Houston TX or Salt Lake City UT.
I find it very brave of you to move with all the kids especially anyone about 12. I find any of the kids over 12 hate change and leaving all their friends behind. Nintendo and laptops are life savers!!!!!
February 24th, 2009 at 10:35 amTexas?
February 24th, 2009 at 10:49 amoh come on and tell!!! this is killing me!
you are in Oklahoma?????
February 24th, 2009 at 10:58 ami’m gonna check back in a couple of weeks…have fun dragging this out.
February 24th, 2009 at 11:01 amI think it is Arizona.
February 24th, 2009 at 11:03 amTexas? Tell me you are in Texas now! (I am guessing the central part or hill country)
February 24th, 2009 at 11:08 amI say it looks just like North Austin. We have a Whole Foods…and an Ikea…metal water tower thingies…and fat black deer by the train tracks. If you posted a picture of Central Market, I would swear we were neighbors.
February 24th, 2009 at 11:09 amTexas, Houston Area
February 24th, 2009 at 11:15 amAre you near Houston?
February 24th, 2009 at 11:19 amMy guess is somewhere in Texas. But, can you just tell us already?!
February 24th, 2009 at 11:29 amLooks like you have landed in small town America but near enough to a big city to have a Whole Foods Market.
February 24th, 2009 at 11:30 amHmmmm.. San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston comes to mind to a Texan.
Being a girl originally from Texas, I’m going to stick w/ Texas and say Austin??? Maybe?
February 24th, 2009 at 11:31 amAustin, Texas
February 24th, 2009 at 11:34 amOK, I’m guessing somewhere on the gulf coast of Texas? (warm weather…meat…the gulf sign…the star on the water tower)
February 24th, 2009 at 11:47 amTexas. Final Answer.
February 24th, 2009 at 11:50 amCows next to the train tracks? That seems like potential disaster.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:02 pmI still say it’s gotta be somewhere in Georgia…….
February 24th, 2009 at 12:10 pmAlright, my co-worker says the Eat Meat thingie has GOT to be Texas - and I think you’re two hours ahead of me on the west coast - so, I’m changing my guess to HOUSTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 24th, 2009 at 12:16 pmI like the fat black deer better than the ‘big goggies’ that my baby saw. Deer run away but goggies don’t.
May I guess that you are in Georgia? Ikea in person, warm weather, eat loving but could be Florida too.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:48 pmThose fat black deer are native to Austin, TX.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:50 pmCows and water towers with stars? Now I’m thinking somewhere in Texas??
February 24th, 2009 at 12:51 pmYou are in Texas?
February 24th, 2009 at 12:53 pmYou’re in Houston, TX.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:55 pmI’m guessing midwest. Probably Mid Midwest, too, as the temp isn’t that cold in the evening but your kids are outside in short sleeves during the day. Plus the train, cows, and general flat land. Its too green to be high desert….
OHMYGOD, you moved to Kansas, Missiouri, Oklahoma or Southern Nebraska.
February 24th, 2009 at 12:56 pmNorth Carolina?
February 24th, 2009 at 1:43 pmSomewhere near the Gulf Coast, maybe south Alabama or south Georgia?
February 24th, 2009 at 1:49 pmOkay, where in Texas are you?
February 24th, 2009 at 2:01 pmTexas?
February 24th, 2009 at 2:14 pmthe suspense is killing me. what did we do to deserve this cruel and unusual punishment?
February 24th, 2009 at 2:31 pmbtw, cute comment by your daughter!
Fat black deer!! LOL!
February 24th, 2009 at 2:31 pmI’m sure someone already guessed but I’m going to say your in Texas somewhere based solely on the picture of the eat meat sign and I think it’s warm in Texas..well basically anywhere is warmer than here!
Hmm it’s still the country but somewhere warmer.. The suspense is killing me.
February 24th, 2009 at 2:33 pmCows, relatively flat land, Ikea and Whole Foods, star on the water tower… I’m guessing you’ve moved to Texas. Houston maybe?
February 24th, 2009 at 2:37 pmAre you in Texas?!
February 24th, 2009 at 2:40 pmI think I have an idea what state you landed in…
Fat black deer - what a hoot!
February 24th, 2009 at 2:51 pmare we still guessing? Texas?
February 24th, 2009 at 2:52 pm(where is the grass green now? the stadium lights remind me of “Friday Night Lights….”)
You’re in Texas.
February 24th, 2009 at 3:06 pmDefinitely Texas
February 24th, 2009 at 3:18 pmErnie wants to know if you have seen or are close to the new stadium we are trying to guess the city
Look forward to seeing more and reading your post
have fun at baseball
February 24th, 2009 at 3:19 pmyou are in texas?
February 24th, 2009 at 3:23 pmAre people still guessing? I think you’ve moved to Texas. Somewhere in the vicinity of Houston, Frisco or Round Rock, because that’s where the Texas IKEAs are.
February 24th, 2009 at 3:56 pmHouston, Texas?
February 24th, 2009 at 3:59 pmTexas? Did you move to Houston? I can’t wait to hear the whole story!!
February 24th, 2009 at 4:00 pmSo based on
1. The Sky
2. gas company signs
3. Ikea and Whole Goods in the same city
My guess is somewhere near Houston, TX?
February 24th, 2009 at 4:35 pmi vote for Texas. the star on the watertower and the limestone on the pillars of the lights that you posted in picture 15.
February 24th, 2009 at 4:44 pmWow….Texas?! I cannot imagine the culture shock.
February 24th, 2009 at 4:47 pmDid you move to Texas? I heard they have fat black deer there!
February 24th, 2009 at 4:50 pmLubbock, TX?
February 24th, 2009 at 5:19 pmOk.
February 24th, 2009 at 5:23 pmAnother guess….
Houston, TX?
OMG this is impossible.
Texas?? I live in Houston, and based on the type of low growing trees, the cows, the railroads, the cactus growing near where the cow is grazing, the warm weather, the water tower, the rotting fence boards, and the many, many baseball games played every night, I am guessing somewhere in Texas. Plus, we eat a lot of meat here in Texas. Actually, I am going to be more exact and say Austin, Texas.
February 24th, 2009 at 5:41 pmTexas!?
February 24th, 2009 at 5:45 pmHey, where’d my comment go?
February 24th, 2009 at 5:50 pmThe fat black dear are native to Austin, TX.
Roundrock, TX?
February 24th, 2009 at 6:23 pmI think I might have answered this on another one of your posts. But I so know where you moved to! It is Round Rock, Texas! I am the winner!
February 24th, 2009 at 6:28 pmI am originally from Texas so yes it might be Texas, but that is a small water tower so it looks like it might be a small older town and especially if the cow isn’t inside a fence! (well it looks like it isn’t inside a fence!) But I notice also though you were shopping at IKEA and there is a picture of your daughter caring a Whole Foods store bag and I am positive they don’t have them in a small town! Okay I guessing maybe Texas! But cows are alot of places! Still thinking I guess!
February 24th, 2009 at 6:31 pmI’ve been saying Texas for a few days now, but for some reason it’s not showing up.
I know for a fact that it’s NOT Kansas…cuz that’s where I live and it’s not that warm here yet.
February 24th, 2009 at 6:36 pmWait a minute! I guessed Huston, Texas yesterday at 1:32pm!
February 24th, 2009 at 6:38 pmI do have to come back to say that photo with the old oil company and meat sign are a barbecue place in central Texas, NOT Houston. I think I’ve seen one like it. Small town between Austin and San Antonio is my guess.
February 24th, 2009 at 6:49 pmI do have to come back to say that photo with the old oil company and meat sign are a barbecue place in central Texas, NOT Houston. I think I’ve seen one like it. Small town between Austin and San Antonio is my guess. BTW all Texas places are near a railroad track with cows, all the water towers look a lot like that one, etc. etc. I hang out between San Antonio and Austin a lot in Hill country between Blanco and Wimberly.
February 24th, 2009 at 6:51 pmWell, geez I guess I better change my guess to Texas….
February 24th, 2009 at 6:51 pmI think it’s southern Colorado. Colorado Springs/Pueblo area perhaps. Whole Food is there. And, they were building a new IKEA last fall up in Denver.
February 24th, 2009 at 7:21 pmI’m a Texas girl and that has to be the good ol’Lone Star State. Welcome!
February 24th, 2009 at 7:39 pmI would say closer to Austin/San Antonio area in Texas.
February 24th, 2009 at 7:49 pmSure looks like Texas……and if it’s anywhere near Cypress, TX…a northwest suburb of Houston, call me and I’ll come help you unpack. I’ll even bring the wine.
Julia
February 24th, 2009 at 7:54 pmDeep In The Heart Of Texas!!
February 24th, 2009 at 8:11 pmTexas. And holy CRAP are you in for it this summer.
February 24th, 2009 at 8:40 pmAs a transplanted New Englander in TX, may I say welcome and god-bless-ya.
February 25th, 2009 at 2:11 pm
