It is amazing what a little sunshine and quiet (relatively speaking) can do for the soul.

Agreed! Also, what a lovely picture!
April 21st, 2009 at 11:13 amI just love how their feet cannot touch the ground for now.
Is it me or is Miles catching up to his sister the the height department?
April 21st, 2009 at 11:28 amAre you loving the weather in the south? I always wondered where ya’ll lived because of all the snow that you got. Then when you moved to Texas, you said something about Conn. and boy is that a BIG difference. I live in north Florida but we are moving to northern Ky. and I HATE cold weather. I wish we could stay in the south.
April 21st, 2009 at 11:43 am…especially during school vacation ;oD
April 21st, 2009 at 11:47 amGorgoeus. I felt in love with the trees in Texas 6 years ago. They’re magnificient.

April 21st, 2009 at 12:20 pmBEAUTIFUL! (The kids sitting quietly, I mean. The scenery’s kinda nice too, but as a mom, I know what to appreciate!)

April 21st, 2009 at 12:54 pmOooh, that looks so peaceful. I would curl up and nap on the bench.

April 21st, 2009 at 1:54 pmawwww…look at their little feet not reaching the ground yet…so sweet!
April 21st, 2009 at 2:33 pmI’ve never lived anywhere farther northeast than Ohio, so I can’t speak from experience, but I can’t help but think you must be loving the spring in Texas. The photos are beautiful ….
April 21st, 2009 at 2:38 pmFOUR sitting still at the same time? And on a bench instead of that cool tree? Great photo!
April 21st, 2009 at 4:46 pmI couldn’t agree more. Beautiful photo.
April 21st, 2009 at 4:47 pmNow that’s what I’m talkin’ about. That’s why I live in a wilderness. The birds are so happy right now. And some of the whooping cranes are still here. I saw a pair fly over my driveway yesterday. Do your kids lay on the ground and tell you what they see in the clouds? That’s a peaceful thing to do,too
April 21st, 2009 at 5:19 pmSOOOOOO Jealous! It looks gorgeous there, and they look so chill hanging out on that bench. I am sure you do not miss it up here in the North East, we had heavy, heavy rains today in NY and winds that tore the siding off the house. Fun.
April 21st, 2009 at 7:45 pmLovely! Are you able to swim, boat or fish in this lake at all? We have many different types of lake around here…public, private community, a few natural (but few in landlocked Alberta!!) and we have these ’storm ponds’ that are pretty to look at, but you would never go boating or swimming in them, yuck!
April 21st, 2009 at 8:54 pmWhat a beautiful photo!
April 21st, 2009 at 9:17 pmI’m wondering how long that moment lasted…
April 21st, 2009 at 11:15 pmaaahhh yes, peace and tranquility - my question is, what was happening behind you?
