The Stalker

What kind of parent are you? Take this fun mom to mom quiz to find out.

*****

In other growing up too fast news, I had to scold Miles for kissing a little girl in the neighborhood who didn’t want to be kissed. When I told him that there was no more kissing allowed he collapsed on the kitchen floor, in obvious pain, crying, “But I want to kiss Ava. I looooooove her.” I never thought I would have to have to utter these words to my four year old, “No unwanted physical contact!”

I am not sure what I love more about the video… what he screams when he sees the camera. Or that he is shaping up to be quite a little stalker.

I loved the entire video. He is a riot.

I love when he says I could just “follow her”

Who would have thought following girls at 4 years old!

  2. Nicki says:

One of my friend’s oldest son liked to play house and marriage when he was miles’ age.

  3. karen says:

cutest little stalker EVER! That Ava is a lucky girl…or will need therapy later but since they’re like 4 it’ll probably be forgotten, good thing you have this video :)

    That totally cracked me up!

  8. Courtney says:

I remember having to stop a little girl about his age from tackling the boys at summer camp and kissing them. One little boy said it was okay, he liked it.

Have any of the kids started to pick up the local accent?

  9. tammy says:

I took the test and i am a SGT. STRICT also

I feel that fits me to a tee. My kids don’t like it so much but that toooooooooo bad

  13. Haley says:

He is soooooooooooo cute (and is looking more and more like his blond-haired brother every day!).

  14. Jamie says:

I think my 4 year old daughter and your son could eat oatmeal together and plan on how to stalk the people they love.

  15. Annette says:

Quick Wit! I am glad as I am just starting teen years and have 6(for now) to go through them!

  16. Ruth H says:

I hate to be in the too cute club but I gotta confess, this is just too cute.

  17. Cate says:

Do I detect the boy picking up a hint of a Texas twang?

  18. Brigitte says:

    He IS too cute! :-D

I hope he’s kissing her FACE. My daughter says there’s a boy at preschool who keeps trying to kiss her butt. Then again, she may be telling stories. But with that kid, it is possible. Urgh.

  19. Villagepig says:

Good god that child is cute…. honestly there are many occasions when the cuteness of the situation is only really evident to the parent but he really is just deliciously adorable. Lucky you!

This is a great idea - videotape the life lesson so that it can be used as evidence later on - that you did indeed try to instill no-stalking rules. I LOVE that!

  21. Ave says:

I have a question for you: Have I missed the names of your other kids or have you just not mentioned them? I would love to hear their names but, if you haven’t mentioned them, I would assume it would be to maintain some anonymity. Just curious!

  22. Sherri says:

Okay…this is the cutest thing Kara & I have ever seen :) He is so adorable, especially when he says he is in love with Ava.

  23. Katie in MA says:

I love that you talk about Miles’ stalking adventures right before your post with all the screaming in the title (about ice cream, but still). :) I wish we all had the confidence of 4 yr olds!

  24. Heather says:

I love that look he gives the camera. Like Mom… come on… you know the answer to that. I think I have seen that look before from my own…. :-)

  25. Aubri says:

Oh man… this made my day! I love his exclamation when he sees the camera too. And I agree with several other comments above me, Ava should just realize that she’s got a cutie stalking her and enjoy it while it lasts.
