I am going to be building an ark soon.

Today I was thwarted in my effort to go to Target. The roads I normally take to get there were flooded and closed. So I drove around for an hour trying to find my way around the flooded area before finally giving up.

Then I went to pick up our recently refilled prescriptions, mine because I am old and have a “condition,” my son’s because he is crazy, and there I learned that my brand new insurance came with a brand new HUGE deductible. I had to pay for the medication out of pocket. For $10 a day my son’s medicine had better calm him the hell down or I will beat him unconcious with the bottle.

In other news, eldest son was released by the doctor and able to go back to football. This is against my better judgment. But what do I know. Saying it’s just football is blasphemy and unpatriotic.

Should I need to get on an ark soon I am thinking two teenagers would be overkill.

Miles can’t wait until he is old enough to ride a skateboard in the bowl. Running around in there just isnt the same.

It’s a Sports Blog Now

When both teams wear the exact same color uniforms, it is very confusing. I just sort of snap photos and hope for the best.

Hey, he just recovered the fumble!

Awesome!
(Woooohoooo. Screaming of son’s name. Cheering.)

Me surveying the players on the field: They are so darn cute I can hardly stand it.

There is no cute in football, Mom.

Oh, I beg to differ.

Two things I want to point out in this photo:

1) I sewed the little patch on completely crooked. I aligned it with the seam on the front of the shirt without taking into account the fact that the seam runs on a diagonal. Whoops.

2) My son is wearing a bracelet that he made himself out of duct tape. I don’t know either.

In the Rain

September 3, 2010

bustop

Bullet points, the posting technique of the busy or terminally lazy:

*Week two of school comes to a close with a walk to the bus stop in the rain.

*As we walked out the front door this morning I noticed the sprinkler was on watering my lawn. In the rain.

*I have been hearing reports that the bus driver is mean and screams at the kids. On one hand, booo don’t scream at the preshus babies. On the other hand, if I had to drive a bus filled with children around I would be a complete screaming bitch. But I don’t drive a bus filled with children. I know my limits. And that limit is a minivan filled with children I gave birth to. Who are they going to complain to when I yell at them? Exactly.

*Football. Football. Football. Football. Therapy to recover from minor football injury. More football.

*Making lunches. Making lunches. Making lunches. Holy shit is this week over yet? Making more godforsaken lunches.

* Quote of the Week: My teacher doesn’t care if I do my homework or not.

* You want to go read this post I wrote. A real post with proper sentences and stuff. Go on, please? 6 Rules For family Night. My favorite rule? We will have fun OR DIE TRYING. Sort of the way I felt about taking the family to Disney World.
