It Is Always Football Season

My 12 year old is playing on a team that is going to a tournament at the end of January. All the kids are excited because there is nothing more that they love in this world than staying at a budget chain hotel that has a breakfast buffet. I wish I were joking.
It rained all last week, so this week they practiced at an indoor field. I could make a joke about Texans being wimpy about inclement weather, but I am sitting outside in shorts and a tank top in December. I am one of the wimps.
