Kenmore Elite, The Dishwasher with Style
This is a sponsored review from BlogHer and Kenmore.
When I bought this house last year one of the things that I didn’t like was the dishwasher. In my previous house I had a top of the line dishwasher that was amazing and most importantly quiet. In this house I had a builder’s special dishwasher. It did the job of washing the dishes in an acceptable manner, as long as you washed the dishes before you put them in. And it was loud. Since my house has an open floor plan this meant all running of the dishwasher had to happen while we were all in bed for the night. Nothing inside of the dishwasher was adjustableand so half the time I was jamming stuff in and then cursing when I just couldn’t get everything in. Even though there would be extra space, it just wasn’t functional extra space.
I felt like I had gone from driving a Mercedes to driving a Dodge Dart with a cracked windshield. Yes, they both might get you where you need to go, but one of them is clearly superior. So when the opportunity came along to test drive the new kenmore Elite dishwasher I jumped at the opportunity.
I went to Sears to order the new dishwasher they didn’t have one for me to see on the showroom floor. The salesmen showed me a photo of one and told me a little about the dishwasher, but I really didn’t know what to expect. Seeing a spec photo isn’t the same as really getting to look at it in person.
So when the delivery man arrived with the dishwasher a few days later I was beyond excited to finally have a look at it. Oh my, it is a purty lil’ thing.
Shiny stainless steel exterior.
Shiny stainless steel interior.
ADJUSTABLE dish racks?
With little thingies that fold down to hold my wine glasses in place? Be still my heart.
LCD touch screen? What?
I couldn’t help but start singing, Meet George Jetson…
I could not wait to load it up with dishes and test it out.
So, let me ask you this… how would you like your own Kenmore Elite dishwasher (or refrigerator, oven, or washer/dryer)? Maybe the better question is why wouldn’t you want to win them? I bWell now you have the opportunity. Visit the BlogHer.com review round-up page and enter a comment for a chance to win one of the major appliances.
Comments left on this post will entered into a drawing for a Kenmore coffee maker! (Rules here) I can not wait to get mine and tell you how it works. My expensive coffee maker died a slow and painful death. Of course I ignored all signs that pointed to its imminent demise until it sputtered and refused to turn on one dark, dark morning. And then I bought a super cheap coffee maker that doesn’t have an automatic shut-off and threatens to burn my house down every day.

Thanks for the review! Our dishwasher is on it’s last leg and we are shopping for another. Thanks for the chance to win the coffee maker!

November 19th, 2010 at 12:29 amWhat a beautiful dishwasher, so high tech. Please enter me for the coffee maker
November 19th, 2010 at 10:29 amThe new dishwasher sounds lovely! We recently had to replace a 12yr old dishwasher & the difference is amazing. Can’t wait to hear about the new coffee maker - it grinds its own beans?? Wouldn’t that be fancy on my counter?
November 19th, 2010 at 11:04 amMy coffeemaker makes quite possibly the worst coffee I have ever tasted, so a shiny new one would be most welcome in my kitchen.
November 19th, 2010 at 11:19 amI have also felt the pain of a multi-level downgrade in dishwasher! If the dishwasher is this good, maybe the coffeemaker will pour me a cup and bring it to my bedside???
November 19th, 2010 at 11:21 amThat is one sweet dishwasher!! Can I have it?
Just kidding. You need it even more than I do.
November 19th, 2010 at 11:31 amI totally agree with your thoughts about the builder standard dishwasher. LOUD, NO ROOM, and for some reason lately I have to open and shut it at least twice to get it to start! UGH. Congrats on the new one, very envious!
November 19th, 2010 at 11:33 amLove me some coffee. Love me some Kenmore.
November 19th, 2010 at 11:38 amYou know you’re old when the thought of free appliances gets you going
November 19th, 2010 at 11:43 amAs we are getting ready to try to sell our house and move, AND the house we want to buy needs a new washer & dryer (also new range) there will be no money left over for a nice coffee maker. Mine is older than my children. Teenage children. Plus, shiny.
November 19th, 2010 at 11:45 amCongratulations to you! The inside looks just like our Kenmore we got last Christmas. We couldn’t have the handle on the outside due to a perpendicular drawer that would hit it, so we went with a slightly lower model that has the programming buttons on the front instead of the LCD. We’ve been very happy with it so far as it does a great job of cleaing, even when you only scrape, not prewash the dishes. Our old model was also be builder’s special, buy 1 get 5 neighbors’ free-type and it sucked (loudly)!
November 19th, 2010 at 11:54 amIt’s hard to resist something so shiny! I am also plagued by a noisy night-time only dishwasher.
November 19th, 2010 at 11:54 amSounds awesome! This would be a perfect Christmas Present!
November 19th, 2010 at 11:55 amMy old coffeepot could go at any moment too.
November 19th, 2010 at 11:55 amThank you!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:00 pmI haven’t had a dishwasher in almost 10 years. Needless to say.. I’m just a touch Jealous!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:02 pmOur dishwasher leaks water on to the kitchen floor every time we run it. And we do love coffee at our house.
November 19th, 2010 at 12:02 pmthanks for the review, we have a new kenmore elite stove and love-it…we’re in the market for a new dishwasher
November 19th, 2010 at 12:03 pmThanks for the chance to win a coffee maker too!
We really need a new coffee maker! That would be a great Christmas gift.
November 19th, 2010 at 12:04 pmA new coffee pot? That would be lovely. Our lovely expensive coffeepot died after only a year and we are on the cheap route. I would love to upgrade.
November 19th, 2010 at 12:04 pmGreat review…now I have the Jetson’s theme song in my head!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:07 pmI tweeted this
November 19th, 2010 at 12:12 pmhttp://twitter.com/#!/cjlach/status/5653612734717953
we don’t have a dishwasher in our little 50’s style house in town, and with 4 kids, that makes a lot of dishwashing…but we are in the same boat with our coffeemaker…death is looming…and when it goes, so do I.
November 19th, 2010 at 12:14 pmI think we have the older model of your new dishwasher. It is sooo quiet. You have no idea how important that is until you experience it. Not that turning up the volume to 50 on the t.v. while kids are trying to sleep isn’t fun. . .
November 19th, 2010 at 12:15 pmthanks for the review! I have an earlier version of the Kenmore dishwasher and it’s done beautifully for almost ten years! I’d love to win the coffee maker, though!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:19 pmLOVE IT! So 21st century. They have the BEST appliances hands down. And,soooo need a new dishwasher or refrigerator.Tough choice. Thanks for the chance to win.
November 19th, 2010 at 12:20 pmThat is one fancy coffee maker! I’d love one. I’m headed over to the other site too enter the appliance giveaway too. Refrigerator, I think.
November 19th, 2010 at 12:24 pmWow. That is one sexy dishwasher.
November 19th, 2010 at 12:26 pmThat dishwasher sounds amazing. I’m not a coffee drinker but I know my husband would love a brand new toy for his morning fix!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:28 pmOh Coffee… I would love to win this! Thank you for the chance to kick my butt out of bed in the morning b/c the smell of coffee is probably the only thing that could do that!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:32 pmI have your old dishwasher! At this point It functions more like a giant under counter dish drainer. My fridge is pretty much shot too! I’m looking forward to hearing more about the Kenmore line.
November 19th, 2010 at 12:33 pmSounds great! I love a good pot of coffee in the morning!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:35 pmWe are always on hte lookout for new appliances. Of course, it’s mainly to drool all over them…..
November 19th, 2010 at 12:38 pmExcellent review. My original 1948 teeny tiny kitchen has no room for a dishwasher. I will admit to shedding a tear over your new one. It’s a beauty! Thanks for the chance to win a coffee maker:)
November 19th, 2010 at 12:38 pmSounds like a lovely lovely thing to have around the house! I could use a coffee maker, I currently just make instant because I’m too lazy to go buy one
November 19th, 2010 at 12:43 pmThanks for the review! We are shopping for dishwashers. Our house was built in the fifties so we don’t have one. And I am tired of washing the silverware piece by piece!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:46 pmoh wow….coffee maker that also grinds the beans….heaven! my LEAST favorite part is grinding the beans!!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:49 pmCoffee AND a dishwasher?! Two of my most favorite things in the world! Yes please, may I win the coffee maker?
November 19th, 2010 at 12:56 pmWe don’t even use our dishwasher, as all it does it pick up whatever food is left on the dishes, and swirl it around so it is then stuck to EACH dish, instead of just the one. Would LOVE to have a new one!!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:56 pmWould love a new coffeemaker!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:59 pmHow about I don’t have a dishwasher at all? And can we talk about the newish refrigerator that I hate with my entire soul and curse each and every time I open the door? Please for the love of all that is holy throw my name in that hat!
November 19th, 2010 at 12:59 pmhttp://twitter.com/#!/MarandaLamping
November 19th, 2010 at 12:59 pmI have the very same dishwasher, it’s just a bit (7 or 8 years- I have no idea) older. It has been FABULOUS. It has broken twice, first time from sand getting in the water line (stupid hurricane)and the second from a cheap valve seal on the water shutoff valve breaking up into little bits of rubber and messing up the inner workings.
November 19th, 2010 at 1:04 pmMaybe if I win, then I could make a decent cup of coffee. No hope for me at the moment.
November 19th, 2010 at 1:06 pmAdjustable racks — I would be in Heaven! Please enter me for the coffee maker — mine is doing the slow, painful death drive now!!
November 19th, 2010 at 1:06 pmTweeted about it. Not that it really matters since I’m pretty sure nobody ever reads my tweets anyway.
http://twitter.com/PastormacsAnn/status/5668331461812224
November 19th, 2010 at 1:08 pmThank you for the coffee maker giveaway.
November 19th, 2010 at 1:08 pmOh, man…what sleek, shiny steel sexiness!
November 19th, 2010 at 1:12 pm-K
How lovely! The dishwasher is awesome, of course! It would be so nice to have a dishwasher that didn’t force us to turn the tv up in order for us to hear it when the dw is running.
(Please enter me in the coffee maker giveaway.)
November 19th, 2010 at 1:20 pmI hate my dishwasher ALOT, but I also dislike my coffeemaker…would looove a new one
November 19th, 2010 at 1:25 pmLove the dishwasher…hoping Santa brings a new one to my house this year! I think something has crawled into mine and died. If not, maybe a new coffee pot will brew the smell of something much more appealing!
November 19th, 2010 at 1:25 pmOHhhhhhh….I would love that Coffee Maker…my Capresso just died after 8 years and I need a new one very badly! Great giveaway Chris!
November 19th, 2010 at 1:34 pmI am a working mom to a 4 year old, and an infant, so a coffee maker would be the best new baby present ever. So would a dish washer for that matter!
November 19th, 2010 at 1:34 pmOh honey, a dishwasher — I haven’t had one in YEARS. I would gladly take your old one. Your post made me think of an old commerical that had a line “Oh, your dishwasher makes a lot of noise” and I would just giggle when I heard that. Maybe you could agument your income by taking in dishes to wash? Just a thought. Enjoy and keep your posts coming, I so enjoy reading about your lovely family.
November 19th, 2010 at 1:43 pmI can’t even imagine a new dishwasher! Or coffeemaker!
November 19th, 2010 at 1:44 pmI would LOVE to win anyth
November 19th, 2010 at 1:46 pmooh, it’s purdy and shiny ;)enjoy your dishwasher!!
November 19th, 2010 at 1:49 pmthanks, we need to put a dishwasher in.
November 19th, 2010 at 1:50 pmand my coffee pot took 5 tries for me to turn it on, so I am thinking time for a new one.
My coffee maker is dying a slow death, too, and I’m trying to ignore it!
November 19th, 2010 at 1:50 pmCoffee, coffee, coffee…I am trying to get off the couch and out from under my blanket, to go make some coffee. I am assuming this fancy Kenmore one will just read my mind and do it for me…can’t wait!
November 19th, 2010 at 2:03 pmI would love a new coffee maker!
November 19th, 2010 at 2:06 pmNew coffee maker would be wonderful…ours is on its last legs as well! Thanks, Chris!
November 19th, 2010 at 2:06 pmI am having serious dishwasher envy now. I desperately need one that can handle my tall glasses, the bazillions of sippy cups that proliferate and multiply when I am not looking, and get the dishes clean without me having to pre-wash, because really that defeats the purpose, right?? Sigh. I am also ashamed to admit that my coffemaker is the same one I bought in college almost two decades ago. The only positive thing I can say about it is that it still makes coffee. Thanks for the chance to win!
November 19th, 2010 at 2:08 pmhttp://twitter.com/jgrog#
November 19th, 2010 at 2:16 pmThat is sweet! Want one..
November 19th, 2010 at 2:23 pmwow Chris– you even make reading about a dishwasher interesting!
November 19th, 2010 at 2:32 pmBeautiful machine! Mine only cleans half the dishes so it’s always full.
November 19th, 2010 at 2:50 pmI want it!!!
November 19th, 2010 at 2:55 pmYou should never underestimate the power of a superb dishwasher. And I’m talking about the power it has on your happiness, never mind what it does for the dishes themselves. We live in military housing and cursed my last dishwasher every day. While I still don’t have a great one, it is at least better than the previous one in terms of loading capacity and organization. When you have OCD when it comes to the way it is loaded, this is so important! So excited for you that you have a great dishwasher! Now, about that coffee maker…. I think my mornings would thank you
November 19th, 2010 at 2:59 pmOur expensive coffee maker we got as a wedding present 3 years ago is just about to go…and there’s no way we could afford to buy one as nice! Anxiously hoping to be the random integer! And headed over to enter for the gorgeous dishwasher!
November 19th, 2010 at 3:00 pmOur dishwasher is LOUD as well and I would LOVE to replace it (it’s also rather harsh on our dishes — our glasses have scratches from being bumped around so much by the water jets) It was kind of handy when the little one was a baby, since the noise seemed to put her to sleep rather quickly, but now she is older and refusing to nap… I have to deal with a noisy child AND a noisy dishwasher simultaneously.
A new coffeemaker would be so nice, since it’s a production to make coffee here
November 19th, 2010 at 3:06 pmThat thing is awesome! It’s definitely Jetson’s worthy.
November 19th, 2010 at 3:12 pmLovely!
November 19th, 2010 at 3:26 pmok, I do live in an actual house (not a trailer, I swear) but we do not have a dishwasher - gasp - archaic yes?!! I so want one…but I’ll take a coffeemaker to distract me from the gap in my life.
November 19th, 2010 at 3:29 pmWe got our house back in May…and, man oh man, we have everything breaking every month. Last thing was the wash machine. The dishwasher is still working, but who knows for how long….
November 19th, 2010 at 3:34 pmCoffee is the fuel we run on around here (5 kids) - the Kenmore Coffee maker looks great!
November 19th, 2010 at 3:35 pmSadly, my kitchen does not have room for a dishwasher right now but a coffee maker? Plenty of room for that.
November 19th, 2010 at 3:37 pm*tear* it’s beautiful. Unreal, even. Space-agey.
November 19th, 2010 at 3:40 pmMy dishwasher refuses to actually CLEAN my dishes - plastics come out foggy, glasses come out spotty. But since our refrigerator died an early death this fall, I’ll be waiting a while longer for a new dishwasher (and doing a lot more handwashing than I want to!). I’d love a new dishwawsher…
November 19th, 2010 at 3:42 pmOur machine will only run the full heavy duty cycle. While it is still quiet and gets things clean, it is a 2 hour process.
November 19th, 2010 at 3:43 pmWoo hoo! Free stuff!
November 19th, 2010 at 4:06 pmI laughed out loud (LOLed I believe the techy term) about George Jetson.
November 19th, 2010 at 4:06 pmShiny, happy dishwasher!
Amy in Austin
I don’t need a dishwasher, but my brother’s is so loud it feels like jet is landing in the kitchen. I would love to get him a new one. I could use a new coffee maker though, mine isn’t automatic anything.
November 19th, 2010 at 4:07 pmWow! That dishwasher looks awesome!
November 19th, 2010 at 4:12 pmWhat a pretty dishwasher~! Love it!
November 19th, 2010 at 4:13 pmGreat review! That dishwasher is awesome! A new coffee maker would be too
November 19th, 2010 at 4:17 pmI might be in the market for a new dishwasher soon- this review was very helpful! Thanks.
November 19th, 2010 at 4:37 pmMy sister just got this dishwasher and LOVES it. I’m very jealous.
November 19th, 2010 at 4:43 pmThat is a beautiful dishwasher. I would love to replace our coffee maker. Even though my husband is the only one who drinks coffee, but I know he would enjoy it.
November 19th, 2010 at 4:48 pmLOVE this coffee maker! My mom has one and totally thinks I need one to! Make her wish come true….
November 19th, 2010 at 4:53 pmSooooolicious!!! New word invented by my grandson - I’m sure he’s the first to combine so and delicious
!! But that’s what this dishwasher reminds me of. Kind of like a hand made quilt - beautiful and functional. And when I make quilts I like to feel the texture of the fabric - the front of this dishwasher looks like it would feel sooooolicious!!!
November 19th, 2010 at 4:57 pmPlease please please!!!!! I am buying a house and it needs appliances!!!
November 19th, 2010 at 5:09 pmThat is one pretty dishwasher! And, coffee maker? Yes, please. I wear them out. Really.
November 19th, 2010 at 5:13 pmYour kitchen is beautiful!
Thank you for the chance to win a coffee-maker for my husband!
November 19th, 2010 at 5:14 pmHave fun with the new dishwasher! And thanks for the coffee maker draw!
November 19th, 2010 at 5:16 pmA coffee maker would also be a great prize.
November 19th, 2010 at 5:37 pmI would love a new coffee maker! All I have ever used is the cheapest Mr. Coffee. Other appliances also sound good of course…
November 19th, 2010 at 5:42 pmI want that dishwasher! But a coffee maker would be nice too. Thanks for this opportunity.
November 19th, 2010 at 5:46 pmOh please pick me! Our dishwasher sucks about 20 different ways. Even the repair man hates it.
November 19th, 2010 at 5:56 pmThis would be a great gift for my mom!
November 19th, 2010 at 6:04 pmOh, yeah, that baby purrs…
November 19th, 2010 at 6:09 pmMy dishwasher’s top drawer thinks opening is optional. It’s wrong, but we haven’t figured out how to convince it otherwise. What a life changing experience it would be to have a top and bottom drawer that were usable!
November 19th, 2010 at 6:59 pmYour former Dodge Dart dishwasher is a step up from our non-existent one. When we visit with friends, I stare longingly at theirs, just wishing our rental had one of its own.
November 19th, 2010 at 6:59 pmThe dishwasher looks awesome. Would love the coffee maker, desperately need a new one.
November 19th, 2010 at 7:13 pmDid this dishwasher cost nearly $1800? Seriously?? I couldn’t imagine paying that much for a dishwasher. Even at half that price, one can buy a great appliance to wash dishes.
November 19th, 2010 at 7:36 pmHell, the wine glass feature alone is something to do cartwheels over. Enjoy!
November 19th, 2010 at 7:40 pmWe have a decent coffee maker that we love, but my parents’ coffee maker is horrid. It would be great to surprise them with a new one… or give them ours and keep this one for ourselves! :o)
November 19th, 2010 at 7:47 pmI would like a dishwasher, but I would like a coffee maker too. Then I would have more energy to do the dishes.
November 19th, 2010 at 8:08 pmOh, I’m in such envy! I would love a dishwasher (currently i do NOT have one!) but a coffee maker would be awesome too!
November 19th, 2010 at 8:21 pmOh my! My fancy coffee maker is on its last leg! Also our dishwasher kicked the bucket last christmas, yes! that long ago. When my husband pulled it out to check the part, he ended up breaking one of the most expensive parts! So I have been wanting a top of the line model since! But until then I handwash!
November 19th, 2010 at 8:40 pmOh man. That dishwasher is gorgeous. I need one for my house-ours is on its last legs!
November 19th, 2010 at 8:53 pmOk I must get this dishwasher!! Mine died three years ago and I am looking at new ones I think I found the one I need! Oh and a new coffee maker would be cool!!
November 19th, 2010 at 9:17 pmI want a new dishwasher. Thanks for the recommendation. I think I will ask for one for Christmas.
November 19th, 2010 at 9:30 pmA new dishwasher? Heaven!
November 19th, 2010 at 9:34 pmI need a new dishwasher so bad! Ours is not working like it should. It is the most important appliance in the kitchen at our house! I would love love love a new one!
November 19th, 2010 at 9:41 pmI could use a good dummy-proof coffee maker. After years of making “OK” coffee, I’ve accepted that it might be operator error. A Kenmore may be just what I need!
November 19th, 2010 at 9:41 pmI love a good cup of joe in the am!!!! Well , I usually have a full pot by mid morning!!! I love coffee!!!!
November 19th, 2010 at 9:42 pmyay for clean dishes and a good cup of coffee!
November 19th, 2010 at 10:14 pmThanks, I love coffee!
November 19th, 2010 at 10:46 pmI’m in!
November 19th, 2010 at 11:05 pmThat dishwasher looks awesome. I really hate the dishwasher I have now, but I live in a rental house and don’t really have much of a choice. At least I have one. A new coffee maker would be awesome.
November 19th, 2010 at 11:13 pmThis coffee maker looks awesome. I am afraid that my current one is on its last legs. The thing better not die and leave me without coffee!
November 19th, 2010 at 11:23 pmI read the LCD screen as saying “1 hair wash” and I was all, oh my this thing IS amazing. Hair washes or not it looks awesome. We love Kenmore appliances too!
November 19th, 2010 at 11:32 pmSeeing as how our coffee maker died a quick (but painful) death and our oldest daughter broke BOTH French presses in a matter of 3 days, we can certainly use a coffee maker around our house!
November 20th, 2010 at 12:11 ami would love the coffee maker for my sister - what a great xmas present that would be. THanks so much for the opportunity!
November 20th, 2010 at 12:18 amNice! Our first 15 years of married life included 4 children and no dishwasher … well, other than the ones I gave birth to. Mine isn’t quite as fancy as this one - but I love it just the same. It doesn’t talk back! Now, if it could only empty and refill itself. :o)
November 20th, 2010 at 12:21 amOk I am 43 years old and on my sixth dishwasher.I baby them, clean them, treat them like gold and then they die.I cant take it.My newest has made it 5 years but now is rusting on the inside and is so loud I wait til I am out of the house to turn it on.I would love a new, shiny,QUIET dishwasher!
November 20th, 2010 at 12:27 amWow……it is so refined
November 20th, 2010 at 1:05 amI tweeted!
http://twitter.com/KatPolkaDot
November 20th, 2010 at 1:06 amThis dishwasher looks amazing! I have a dinky apartment sized one that does not fit a meal’s worth of dishes!
I would love a new coffee maker though… mine constantly leaks coffee all over the counter.
November 20th, 2010 at 1:38 amWhat, what???!! Racks for the wine glasses so I don’t have those lovely little residue spots on them from water collecting while they sit on the upper rack??? Is it childproof?? AKA can they load and unload without difficulty and the dishes still get clean? If so I am all in!
November 20th, 2010 at 4:21 amA new coffeemaker would totally clean up my morning language! Luckily the kids aren’t up to hear me swearing at the existing one every morning.
November 20th, 2010 at 5:32 amHeck, I’ll probably still swear but it will be more along the lines, “D*$% that is one good cup of coffee”.
Thanks for the chance!
We threw out our lousy dishwasher a few years ago and put shelves in where it had been, because we were so short on shelf space… but I miss the dishwasher. Oh, and my husband has killed several cheap coffee makers, so we are always on the look out for a new (good) one!
November 20th, 2010 at 8:16 amMy dishwasher absolutetly stinks. We thought it had a food grinder feature, where you don’t have to ‘wash’ everything before putting it in, but nooooo. There the food sits, around this grate/drain thing, and I can’t get it out so the food sits and sits, and ferments and gets slimy and disgusting. Oh how I would love this new dishwasher!!
November 20th, 2010 at 9:03 amwow… I think every appliance should have touch screens. No more trying to figure out what small turn dial icons mean.
November 20th, 2010 at 9:50 amMy current dishwasher came with the house, and unless we kick it during the first washing cycle it keeps filling and will flood the floor. So yes, I would love a dishwasher that I do not have to threaten with physical violence in order to get it to work.
November 20th, 2010 at 10:31 amOh my - I have the same horrible dishwasher you got rid of - also after moving and having to leave behind a wonderful one!
November 20th, 2010 at 10:54 amThis contest is perfect timing as I’ve recently started drinking coffee (again…). Silly me thought I could give up my morning coffee…and I did (for a very short period of time). This coffee maker looks amazing.
November 20th, 2010 at 11:19 amOooh, that is a pretty washer. The coffee maker sounds great, too!
November 20th, 2010 at 11:30 amWow. I want to marry your dishwasher! Also, love coffee so that coffee maker looks like royalty compared to mine!
November 20th, 2010 at 11:36 amLCD Screen really? Wow, George Jetson indeed. Alas I do not drink coffee, I try and try. My DH however is a huge coffee drinker and it would be nice to have a coffee maker that is not ME.
November 20th, 2010 at 12:44 pmI would love this grind and brew machine so I can ditch the grinder that sits on my counter.
November 20th, 2010 at 2:32 pmI’d love a new fancy-pants dishwasher, but a coffee maker would be fabulous as well! Thank you!
November 20th, 2010 at 2:55 pmIf I won this dishwasher I know my girlfriend would love using it (she’s weird like that), thus improving the quality of our relationship
We’re also both coffee addicts, so the coffee maker would be just as nice. Thanks!
November 20th, 2010 at 2:57 pmOh, a new dishwasher. Sigh. Ours your have to wash the dishes first too… so what’s the point??
November 20th, 2010 at 3:20 pmI have a thing for quiet dishwashers… gorgeous.
November 20th, 2010 at 4:33 pmYour new dishwasher is beautiful. I am jealous. Please enter me in the drawing for the coffee maker. Thank you!!
November 20th, 2010 at 4:35 pmHere is my Tweet!
November 20th, 2010 at 4:54 pmThat’s a pretty awesome coffee maker!
November 20th, 2010 at 5:20 pmThe dishwasher looks fab! So does the coffee maker!
November 20th, 2010 at 5:34 pmOoooooo I need a new dishwasher AND a new coffeemaker!
November 20th, 2010 at 5:56 pmMy dishwasher racks are rusting and was thinking to ask a Mom with a large family to make a recommedation to me. Now that you have, I’ll look into it.
November 20th, 2010 at 5:58 pmWow that is one awesome dishwasher.
We have a contractor special that I look forward to upgrading…with our w/d set and probably the fridge too.
Coffee is what keeps me going and since my kids broke my drip machine I am down to my much beloved french press. OMG it has a grinder on it too. Be still my caffeinated heart!
November 20th, 2010 at 6:07 pmWow! LCD screen…nice! And since my veins bleed coffee I could always use a new maker. : )
November 20th, 2010 at 7:20 pmI would love a new coffee maker. Five kids… one set of twins… MUST have coffee!
November 20th, 2010 at 9:10 pmMy entire kitchen is in desperate need of a make-over. A fancy new coffee pot would be a great beginning! Definitely going over to try to win the dishwasher at Blogher, too.
November 20th, 2010 at 9:43 pmOh Lordy I need a new dishwasher! I just replaced the board on mine and it still isn’t working! uggh. This one is beeeeautiful!
November 20th, 2010 at 9:53 pmI would love a new coffee maker and I am SUPER jealous of your dishwasher, as I have none!
November 20th, 2010 at 9:56 pmWhat is better than a new coffee maker?!
November 20th, 2010 at 10:05 pmPretty amazing dishwasher! What fun!
November 20th, 2010 at 10:45 pmI NEED a new coffee maker! Really hoping I get picked! Love your writing!
November 20th, 2010 at 10:46 pmwow LCD?!? Will the coffee pot be LCD too?
November 20th, 2010 at 11:12 pmI would love a quiet dishwaher that cleans my dishes without my first having to wash them. I would like a new coffee maker. How about someone to make that coffee?
November 20th, 2010 at 11:13 pmWe can’t seem to get the dishwasher situation or the coffee maker situation right at our house - would love to give my hubby a new coffee maker for a Christmas gift! Save myself some money at Starbucks.
November 21st, 2010 at 12:10 amReally nice dishwasher, but I would definitely be happy with the coffee maker. Mine is so ghetto that I don’t even have a lid on my pot, can’t find it.
November 21st, 2010 at 12:13 amooooh coffee maker. . .(said in my best Homer Simpson voice).
November 21st, 2010 at 12:18 amWe bought a house year ago, too. It is 750 sf and was built in 1903. It has a do-it-yourself kitchen renovation special, which includes one row of budget cabinets, a 10 year old fridge and NO dishwasher (unless you count my 2 year old-going-on-16-year-old who claims he’s married to Faith Hill and insists that you can clean dishes with a rubber duck as long as you use the sprayer attachment on the sink). Needless to say we would love to win a dishwasher, especially a quiet one - did I mention the house is 750 sf…
November 21st, 2010 at 2:36 ami would love a new coffee maker
November 21st, 2010 at 2:49 ami tweeted http://twitter.com/#!/purplelover04/status/6237643536859136
November 21st, 2010 at 2:49 amI would love a new coffee maker!
November 21st, 2010 at 3:37 pmMake me coffee happy!
And they are so purty too!
November 21st, 2010 at 4:38 pmAfter the morning I had yesterday with my old coffee maker, I am so ready to move on to a brand new one. Thanks.
November 21st, 2010 at 6:45 pmI would love either!! My dishwasher is dying a slow and painful death as we speak!
November 21st, 2010 at 7:14 pmThat dishwasher is a thing of beauty. I predict you will both live happily ever after.
November 21st, 2010 at 7:37 pmDo I have to decide right now? Cause I just discovered that my oven is over 10 years old… but I’d love a new dryer.
November 21st, 2010 at 9:35 pmI could really use a new coffee maker. Thanks Chris!
November 22nd, 2010 at 1:10 amI have repaired my dishwasher with silicone caulk around the soap dispenser latch where it was leaking - which worked. I also replaced the door gasket to keep it from leaking. It’s on it’s last legs but I won’t replace it until it really dies (as in too expensive to repair). Would love a new one.
November 22nd, 2010 at 2:40 amChris, I would LOVE a new coffee maker!
November 22nd, 2010 at 9:21 amI am a non-coffee weirdo, but it would make me look like a hero at Christmastime!
November 22nd, 2010 at 9:27 amI hope I win. We don’t have a cofee maker and that dishwasher looks superior to mine!
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:45 amIf you can imagine, my dishwasher is actually worse than your old one - we haven’t remodeled the kitchen yet so its the type you have to manually hook up to the faucet every time you want to use it!
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:50 amWhat a lovely coffee maker! Multiple buttons, timer, coffee grinder…just what I need to start off the morning with one less thing to do (for me) that usually gets the least bit of attention because the kids consume all the morning “get ready” time.
November 22nd, 2010 at 11:26 amOOh,I could use a nice coffemaker!
November 22nd, 2010 at 11:50 amjacksoncrisman@yahoo.com
Would love to have a new coffee maker!!!
November 22nd, 2010 at 12:13 pmyummm, coffee - even yummier, new coffeemaker smell and a dishwasher with a touchscreen? how cool is that?!?!?!
November 22nd, 2010 at 12:13 pmI just bought a new dishwasher & I love it. Sad that when we get old(er), new appliances are what we find sexy!
November 22nd, 2010 at 12:14 pmA new coffee maker would be awesome! Also, I am lusting after that dishwasher…quiet is good.
November 22nd, 2010 at 12:57 pmOur dishwasher does an okay job but is still very loud which is my biggest pet peeve. That and it does not dry the dishes well even when it is on heated dry. There is still water on everything. Would love a new coffee maker!!
November 22nd, 2010 at 1:25 pmThis is gorgeous. Always desired a stainless dishwasher!
November 22nd, 2010 at 1:48 pmI run my dishwasher at least 3 times a day and I would LOVE to have this dishwasher as I’m sure I could totally lose one of my daily loads!!!
November 22nd, 2010 at 1:51 pmOooo, that is so fancy. The touch screen is too cool. It’s so hard to decide which appliance I want! They all look amazing.
November 22nd, 2010 at 2:12 pmI could use a new coffee, or in our case tea, maker. Ours is still the one we got from our wedding, 8 years ago. And it doesn’t turn on or off automatically.
November 22nd, 2010 at 2:30 pmOh heavens. I dream of a new dishwasher. With hidden buttons that my obsessive button-pushing 4 year old can’t touch. That’s quiet enough my husband & I can have a conversation at the same time. I’m going off on a tangent. Anyway. I want to enter. Thanks for hosting this!
November 22nd, 2010 at 2:45 pmOh my goodness how I need a new dishwasher! Our old one is so old the arm hits my dishes, very annoying! I can not see getting smaller dishes so I think it’s time for a new dishwasher..am I right? The coffee maker is just gravy..
November 22nd, 2010 at 3:07 pmThat is a thing of beauty! My dishwasher is another really loud one. And we do have an open floor plan — you can hear if from the outside screen porch with the doors closed!
November 22nd, 2010 at 3:32 pmI can’t even tell you how much I’d love a coffee maker. Note I didn’t say NEW coffee maker- I don’t have an old one to start with. I think Starbucks may go out of business should I win…
November 22nd, 2010 at 4:14 pmMy coffee maker is also on it’s last legs so it would be great to have for the day i can no longer cajole to work it!
November 22nd, 2010 at 5:20 pmMy dishwasher has not worked in over two years, so I use it to dry the dishes that I have to handwash in the sink. I NEED a new dishwasher, badly. A coffeemaker would be great too.
November 22nd, 2010 at 6:38 pmI love that dishwasher!!
November 22nd, 2010 at 6:59 pmWould love to win a new coffe maker. I am headed over to blogher to sign up to win an appliance. My dishwasher is on its last leg.
November 22nd, 2010 at 7:17 pmWe TOTALLY need a new dishwasher. Ours is the pits. My brother got a new one for our house while we were out of the country. Not my choice.
November 22nd, 2010 at 10:54 pmLovely, lovely, lovely…. I have shiny, stainless steel appliances dancing in my head…
November 22nd, 2010 at 11:36 pmPlease enter me for the Kenmore Elite dishwasher (or fridge) I would love to have one! Also the coffe maker..Thanks!
November 23rd, 2010 at 1:12 amWhat a fancy lookin dishwasher!! I would LOVE to win that puppy for we just built a house and haven’t bought one due to money issues. We have an empty hole where one needs to go and I’m thinkin it has this one’s name on it
Enjoy yours!!
November 23rd, 2010 at 8:23 amIn need of both a dishwasher and a coffee maker!
November 23rd, 2010 at 9:59 amOh my gosh— I am at a pathetic point in my life– it is not right to excited about this dishwasher. I had a reaction I used to have about concert tickets or vacations of fabulous designer clothes– Oh my gosh— I have to have this…… ok I know pathetic– but it would mke my live easier— since my 5 year old crap dishwaher is rusted out and limping along…..it is beautiful.
November 23rd, 2010 at 10:26 amI think if I was to get the coffee maker I would gift it to my mother in law for christmas, she has the old drip one that could take a replacement.
November 23rd, 2010 at 10:31 amMy coffee maker is on its last leg. I’m going to eventually have to break down and buy a new one, unless I win this one!
November 23rd, 2010 at 11:37 amWould love to win the coffee maker…and the dishwasher, throw in a microwave and a fridge
Hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving!!
November 23rd, 2010 at 12:38 pmI have honestly have never lived in a home with a dishwasher! Pity party for one? Also, I love coffee! So sign me up!
November 23rd, 2010 at 1:40 pmThanks for the great review! I would love to win that coffeemaker- I am a coffee nut!
November 23rd, 2010 at 8:18 pmIt looks like heaven! I don’t have a dishwasher! Never have! I know I know!!!!
November 24th, 2010 at 1:09 amOkay the inside of the dishwasher is beautiful! And adjustible racks! That is awesome.
I actually don’t have a coffee maker,we don’t drink coffee, but we could totally use it to make hot cocoa!
November 24th, 2010 at 10:09 amI have total dishwasher envy!
November 24th, 2010 at 12:06 pmMy dishwasher just sits in my kitchen. it just sits there and it taunts me. My dishwasher decided to retire after I had it, oh, for 3 years. That’s right. right after the warranty ended it decided that it no longer had legal obligations to me so it just first decided not to drain, so that when I opened it the next day to empty it,out wafted the scent of rotten eggs.
our handy man neighbor says it is the motor and that it would be cheaper to replace. at this present moment we don’t have just the cash lying around to buy a super nice dishwasher bc that is all i will settle for, a super awesome dishwasher that doesn’t want to break, ever.
so i stand and wash dish after dish, like they did in the old days, you hear the jetson’s, i hear little house on the prairie.
so as you can see i would really love one, like really really love one.
a new coffee maker would be a pretty sweet thing to have also. so that at the very least, as i stand washing the dishes, i can smile that a perfect cup of coffee will be waiting for me when i am through.
congratulaions on your newest addition to your family, i am completely jealous!
November 24th, 2010 at 12:57 pmI’m planning on replacing my dishwasher soon so I’m glad for the recommendation.
As to my coffeepot. It died and I never replaced it. My poor hubby has to go out to the coffee shop every morning, even in the blizzards.
November 24th, 2010 at 2:29 pmThat is so sleek, beautiful. I love coffee so coffee maker sounds great.
November 24th, 2010 at 7:12 pmI would LOVE a new coffee maker. It would make my Christmas
November 25th, 2010 at 2:46 pmI have a horrible coffee maker that is going to kill us, also. I seem to kill them very quickly.
November 26th, 2010 at 2:27 amSince being laid off I cannot afford anything new. Let alone replace my none working dishwasher. It would be a great present to me and my family!
November 26th, 2010 at 2:40 amI just replaced my old dishwasher with a differnt Kenmore Elite but I do not have a touch screen. I would love to win one like this.
November 26th, 2010 at 3:03 pmA new coffeemaker would get each day off to a great start!
November 26th, 2010 at 11:21 pmA new coffeemaker would get each day off to a great start!
November 26th, 2010 at 11:21 pmSince money is short this year the Coffee Maker would make a great Christmas present for grandchildren. The dishwasher would be nice also since mine doesn’t clean very well — must rinse everything before putting washer. Thank for the offer.
November 27th, 2010 at 1:10 amWe are moving and our old appliances are staying behind. New stuff is needed.
November 28th, 2010 at 4:13 pmI would just love to win to win this dishwasher !!!!!
November 28th, 2010 at 6:35 pmSince my dishwasher broke I”ve been researcing and saving ror a new one. i WOULD LOVE TO THE ONE IN THE CONTEST. The features stated are a big improvement to my past top of line dishwashers, and my past experience with a Sears refrigerator was super
November 29th, 2010 at 9:38 amThis looks like a great addition to the kitchen and the coffee maker would be great too.
November 29th, 2010 at 12:42 pmYou would not believe the state of our appliances. A new coffee maker is much needed.
November 29th, 2010 at 3:29 pmAwww, I would love to have a dishwasher and give these old hands a rest… =)
November 29th, 2010 at 4:02 pmI love this dishwasher, but I would love a new coffee maker even more. I need an alarm on mine so I can wake up to the sweetest smell of my french vanilla coffee brewing in the morning.
November 29th, 2010 at 5:46 pmLCD Touchscreen! Does the coffeeemaker have one? All the buttons on my “expensive” maker jammed over a year ago - that makes programming and enjoying coffee immediately upon waking - IMPOSSIBLE!
November 30th, 2010 at 12:04 pmLoving this dishwasher and it would look perfect in my home!!!
December 1st, 2010 at 2:11 pmMy 10 year old “white” coffee maker isn’t so white anymore. That brownish-yellow is so 2009.
December 1st, 2010 at 4:51 pmCoffee is a morning essential in our home and a new coffeemaker would be awesome!!
December 3rd, 2010 at 11:28 amOh, how I would love to win this! My present dishwasher is from 1973, and it’s avocado in color to boot!
December 5th, 2010 at 10:23 amThe Kenmore coffee maker would also be great! Everything I have is Kenmore, even my 1973 dishwasher, which still works!
December 5th, 2010 at 10:28 amThis was well timed, we are having problems with our dishwasher, so seeing what these new fangled ones can do is awesome!
December 5th, 2010 at 3:58 pmThat’s some dishwasher! All of our appliances were purchased around the same time so, naturally, they are all on the brink of disaster now. The dishwasher is the first on our list as we have been eating off of semi-dirty dishes for weeks, now. I am 78 and unable to stand for long periods so I can’t really wash more than a few at a time. I really need a dishwasher and my washing machine is next. It keeps twisting all the clothes in a knot that I have to untangle before I put them in the dryer, not to mention that my clothes, etc are dingy. Would love to win the dishwasher.
December 5th, 2010 at 4:46 pmLove the dishwasher perfect amenities!
December 6th, 2010 at 11:20 amGreat Blog, and the chance to win something. How cool.
December 8th, 2010 at 10:55 am
